Visited this restaurant recently with a friend. First time going. The restaurant is adorable inside and out. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating. The food was amazing, the service was top-notch, and the staff are so friendly and nice. Would absolutely recommend for a visit!

I celebrated my friend's birthday here. everyone enjoyed his meal and dessert. the service was great. I ordered the small plate scallops. The plate held four small scallops for $40. One of the them had a nice golden brown cook but the other three were just plain white. no color. i really expected more from this wonderful restaurant. i chose to not mention it because it was an occasion and they were edible. next time I'll send the pale scallops back for a more even cook.

We had a great brunch here. Lovely service and delicious food. The back patio was perfect for our group.

Our first visit was truly exquisite. The beef tartare was a standout, perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor, while the carrot soup, made from fresh garden produce, was exceptional. Our server was friendly, welcoming, and top-notch, making our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, they delivered an unforgettable dining experience, and we can't wait to return for more culinary delights.

Super cute location. My bestie and I came in on a late night when we'd been busy working, and sat at the bar. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed it. The vibe was a little dull, but it was a Thursday night.

The food is really good. I've eaten here before over the years. I'm currently in a rehab place to rehab a series of knee injuries. I wanted a nice salad and love this places salads. I had a friend go down and order me one to go, but for some reason they won't do a to go order. Really bummed I couldn't get one.

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely day walking around the square in Sonoma. A little before 4PM we walked over to The Girl and The Fig for our dinner reservation. (Be sure you make a reservation to ensure you can get in.) We were seated outside immediately and were fortunate to have Robert as our server. What a knowledgeable and gracious man. We chose to share the delectable ultra-fresh baby arugula salad with a lemon-champagne vinegar-olive oil vinaigrette and a generous dusting of freshly grated parmesan cheese. For our entrees we decided to share the fresh wild flounder and the duck confit. Both were delicious. The flounder arrived in a truly wonderful lemon-butter sauce atop mounded mashed potatoes with a luscious layer of fresh spinach. After we thoroughly enjoyed that we shared the duck confit atop lentils and a delightful mirepoix. It was very easy to share this because there were two duck confit in the single entree. It was a perfect dinner to top a perfect day. Thank to the chef and to Robert.

This place will make you feel like you are having fabulous meal at quintessential bistro in Paris on your vacation. If there is Zazie in San Francisco, you have the girl and the fig in Sonoma. We went on a girls trip ( 4 of us ) to celebrate bday and decided to stop at Sonoma to try this place. Since this was my idea to have brunch here based on my pleasant experiences in the past, I was hoping my friends will like this place. And they enjoyed every moment of it . And foods were exceptional, service was seamlessly attentive.

I was visiting Sonoma and stopped here for lunch. The food was great and we had the sweetest girl, Liberty, bring out our food. I almost wish she was our server! All in all it was great!

Super tasty food, and friendly service. Warmly greeted upon entry and my daughter was given a coloring page, kids menu, and crayons. Service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Quaint interior with a few separate spaces, and large covered and nicely lit back patio. [interior can be loud if you happen to sit in the same room as obnoxious, foul-mouthed college girls who have nothing better to do than literally talk about Gossip Girl (yes, in 2024) and cuss every other sentence. I was with my hubby and 5-year old daughter and was super close to confronting the inconsiderate party, but was able to keep my patience and cool while trying to distract my daughter so hopefully she wouldn't hear what they were saying. But I mean, really, how can people be so rude and, quite frankly, disgusting? Hopefully they read this and consider adjusting their behavior next time they're in public; either way I know I won't be patient next time. Venting done.] Food was overall very good. Mushroom + cheese appetizer was the winning dish of the night--uniquely rich but balanced with the sweet and acidic tiny onions. Smoked fish appetizer was good, though a more "normal" dish, nothing particularly standout, especially when compared to the excellent mushrooms. Steamed mussels with frites were great--tender, well cleaned, and in a super flavorful broth that was perfect to sip on or soak your fries in. The fish entree was good, though was relatively standard and ranked the least of our other excellent selections--I let the hubby eat most of this. Milk and cookies dessert was very good as well. During our meal we saw most of the other tables order this as their dessert, and it did not disappoint. The milk is slightly thickened (like a thin milkshake) and has alot of vanilla bean in it, which went supremely well with the 2 accompanying rich, thick, gooey cookies (think BJ's pizookie style). 2 people can easily share 1 cookie, so be sure to take the other to go. Overall excellent food and service; ambiance had much to be desired due to the obnoxious customers seated near us (understandably it is difficult to deal with such parties, so no stars taken off for that). Food was so good that I considered making a reservation for the following night as well, though was happy that out of convenience we ended up going to the Michael Mina spot at our hotel, which was surprisingly very good as well.

I was excited to eat here because most of the meat and produce are local, but disappointing that everything is cooked in canola oil. You would expect a high end restaurant to use better ingredients.

Should probably be 3.5 stars Every thing was OK nothing memorable. Probably better options nearby.

Exceptional dinner, Olivia J. was THE BEST server. Incredibly friendly and competent. Wines were good. Wouldn't change a thing. Would definitely come back in the future!
