So cute! Stopped in for a glass of wine and between the modern decor and cool music, it felt a world away. Amazing back patio.

I went to Valley for a bachelorette brunch with my friends and the waitress Nichol was really mean and unkind.I loved the atmosphere and the food, but if they want to get a Michelin star again they really need to work on their customer service. It kind of put a damper on a special event.

Cute little place! Food was quite good. Not as many local wine options, but still good! Crispy rice was pretty good as well as the butter beans. Salad and bread were amazing!!! Best bread and olive oil I’ve ever had, as simple as they are.

There is seriously something about this place that feels so special. While there are the classics of Sonoma Square Valley brings a fresh new feel. It really does a great job at making fine dining accessible to the younger generation who maybe aren't looking for Sonoma classics. The food is absolutely amazing. The chefs bring new flavors to the table every week with a changing, seasonal menu. We had the crab roll, green garlic sauce and chips, and the XO eggs to start. Followed by the crispy rice and braised beef with fennel. I'm still thinking about how delicious everything was. My favorite though was their version of the olive oil cake with a side of sour cream with pepper and I think spiced apple sauce. The sides were reminiscent of a latke. The cake though was decadent. I think they make it with mochiko. Literally cannot rave about it enough and will definitely be trying to make it at home! The service was also amazing and the servers were very helpful. They made great recommendations for both the food and wine. We were a walk in and didn't have a reservation and they did their best to seat us right away. For those of you who bring your pets they have a back patio that is heated! Would absolutely come here again and again.

All-around excellent. This is my vibe for a restaurant. Very chic, small, and lit by low light and candles throughout. And then there’s the food. Wow it’s so good. Went with three others so we were able to share a great many of their plates, of which I imagine change over regularly.Service was wonderful. One of my favorite meals in quite some time.Bravo!

A friend and I stopped here for brunch after wine tasting. It was delicious! We were able to get in with a last minute reservation even though they were very busy. I recommend making a reservation in advance on the weekend; even if it is just an hour before. They were quite busy. I had the bagel with lox and my friend had the crab sandwich. We also shared the olive oil cake. Everything tasted incredible and hit the spot. Our server was also fantastic. We heard from the table next to us that the french toast is "transcendent." We opted not to get it, but I plan to go back and the French toast will be the first thing I order!

Worth the Michelin star they have earned! LOCATION & DECOR: In what's known as the square, the downtown area of Sonoma. An eclectic and classy yet warm and cozy feeling restaurant. FOOD & DRINK: -XO Egg: Deviled egg for the gods. Filled with some infusion of bacon and deliciousness. -Pork Belly Bao: If you never had bao, put it on your list. The pork belly was cooked to perfection and Asian inspire. I could get that every time I come. Doesn't matter of fact, I will get that every time I come If it's on the menu and if it's not "may I please speak with a manager?" Ha. -Garlic Crab Noodles: Wow! Some of the best news I've ever had. So much flavor and I love crab. Garlic addition was flavorful. -Cod w/ Ginger and Scallions: usually this menu item is halibut w/ ginger and scallions but they are Cod this night. It was so good and flavorful. The cod was literally melting in my mouth. Almost had to eat it with a spoon. -Local Red wine from Sonoma County. Can't remember the name, but I remember it being sweeter and less dry than most reds, but nothing close to fruity. -Would have liked to have seen more local wines considering we are in wine country. Most of them were Italian wines. PRICE: $$-$$$ -XO Egg $4 -Pork Belly Bao $14 -Garlic Crab Noodles $24 -Cod w/ Ginger and Scallions $32 SWAG/AMENITIES: -Table Service -Wine Tasting -Menu recommendations -Seasonal menu -Food events and tastings STAFF & EXPERIENCE: Personable, knowledgeable and down to earth. A friend booked reservations for us which is not necessary unless you want to be sure that you don't sit out on the patio on a cold night. We were greeted upon entry by both someone behind the bar and the host at the front. The host even introduced themself by name which usually never happens. It's usually the host just seating us and then the waiter / waitress introducing themselves as our server. We received it at a table within 5 minutes. We're jeweled over the menu and decided to get dishes to share since we both had never been there before and wanted to try so many things. Half of the things we wanted to try where what our server recommended so we were happy about that.

I had to update my review of Valley as I dined out for their Lunar New Year menu. The food was good, not great. Service which in the past was great, was lacking highly. The host who took 10 minutes to acknowledge us later walked us to a table, put a menu down, and while pointing to a spot of smothered food, stated "oh look the menu is dirty." I really used to enjoy this restaurant, but, there doesn't seem to be anyone overseeing this place with any accountability. Not worth the money for this type of experience.

The most darling eatery/wine bar in Sonoma. I believe their menu changes frequently— My friend and I loved their chilled tofu dish with peanut sauce & chili crisp and brussel sprouts with fish sauce & parm. The olive oil cake is worth the trip in itself. Will be back next time I’m in Sonoma.

Crab 'ramen' noodles tasted mostly like oyster sauce, didn't even taste a hint of garlic or anything else really. Even the salad was too salty, how? The black cod was cooked poorly, not flaky but rubbery and again way too much salt. Service was okay. When the waitress asked how it was, I said everything was very salty, she said 'oh' and walked away.

The food was so fresh! We had the salad with green goddess dressing. Seemed like the just cut the lettuce from the garden. So fresh. The lentils with poached eggs was hearty and good. There was a red pepper in that added a punch of flavor and spice. I'd like to return to try more dishes.

I was full of expectations when I saw the Michelin recommendation, but I was completely disappointed after eating. The dining experience was very poor. The first is the seating arrangement. There are not many indoor seats, and seats are arranged outdoors. But it rained on the day of the meal, so the outdoor seating area was surrounded by two rain shelters. However, our seats were next to the gap between the two shelters, and wind and rain penetrated, so it was quite cold. I saw a heater near the seat on the inside and asked if the heater could be moved. The waiter refused, which is understandable. Maybe guests nearby need it.After ordering, we waited about 20 minutes for the salad to be served. At this time, only about 60% of the seats were occupied, so the serving speed was slower than expected. We ordered two identical dishes (duck leg noodles), but the seasoning and meat quality of the two duck legs were completely different, and one of them was completely tasteless and dry. I originally wanted to respond to the waiter, but no waiter came to ask if there was any problem with the meal until the end of the meal. Even after we waited for more than ten minutes, no waiter came, and we were asked to leave our seats and ask the waiter for the bill. , it seems that the service manpower is obviously insufficient. The most outrageous thing was the waiter's attitude when he brought us the bill. He threw the bill on the table and left without looking back. This was the last straw for us. We only tipped $0.68 because the service attitude was really bad.The most satisfying item of the whole meal is coffee+tonic. The sour and bitter flavors are harmoniously matched, so I gave it two stars.
