Such a gem, probably the best cafe de olla and champurrado i've had! All their pan is so amazing and fresh! Such great service and lovely ladies! Glad this place is still here in my hometown! I always grab a good amount of pan when i'm in town! Don't sleep on this spot, it's a must if you're in South/El Monte!

Between my family and I, we purchase a bit over 500 pieces of bread per week. Our customers love the bread and they pair well with a side of cafe de La jolla. The staff is friendly and I enjoy conversing with them early morning.

Great food, sweet bread and hot drinks not to mention the quality and freshness! You will be amazed with the variety, the wide selection in their hot drink options. I really recommend the tamales not too spicy and the meat to dough ratio is perfect and the size of the tamales are great not stingy at all in sizing.

My sister recommended this please for the freshest Tortas in the area. My favorite is The Torta de Lomo or Pierna. It does come a little wet so the sooner you eat it, the better you will enjoy it. It's made fresh so don't expect it out in 30 seconds or less. Oh ! It opens at 4:00 am, so it's perfect if you are on your way to work and want something tasty. The hot drinks have been hit and miss, mostly because the tend to be a little too sweet for me, other than that, they are very good. If you are running late or in a hurry you may want to go elsewhere because sometimes there is a line of about 8 people long. Try the Tortas you won't be disappointed.
