We had a very nice birthday dinner on a rainy Tuesday night. We ate wonderful comfort food. Sandy was awesome and made us feel so welcome. The Garden club is a North Peninsula treasure. We will definitely be back.

This is a great little restaurant, that I love to support. It is certainly an unlikely destination given its location and age. But I love to support local businesses, especially restaurants that have been in families for generations. While it is nothing fancy, the food does not disappoint. Everything is delicious and prepared to order. I found the service to be good, attentive, but not overbearing. When I’m in the area I love to stop in and my favorite is the salmon salad. There’s plenty here for everybody. I’m very limited on what I can eat, but in a recent visit with a large group everybody seemed to especially enjoy the prime rib.

Came here on Thanksgiving and the service was superb. We had the prime rib and it was delicious! It came with minestrone soup and a side salad. Our server was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. Overall, the Garden Club made my Thanksgiving wonderful.

Great neighborhood dive. At least half the bar is old retired regulars. It seems like there were lots of "old man" bars back in the day. I guess local demographics have changed. You don't see old people at many bars anymore. But I'm happy to say you will at the Garden Club. Also, it's a good place to hang out while you're waiting to pick someone up at SFO.

I'm updating this review post-pandemic. The prices have obviously changed however the food quality has declined. It's the same menu but the prime rib was poor the last two visits. The meat was undercooked and filled with gristle for both my wife and I. This may be one person's opinion but I don't think you should be paying more for a lower quality product. This rating is two stars as I still love the servers. The ambiance is still the same but that old school mobster feel has lost it's charm. Now, it's an overpriced location to get a poorly cooked slab of meat.

A friend took me here for lunch recently. This restaurant has been around for years. Good food with generous
The food was delicious! The portions were generous, however the waitress was rude! I guess she wanted to go home and she was not friendly at all until she brought the check. Would go again for the food.

I ordered two french dip sandwiches with fries to go and first thing I noticed when I got home was that they didn’t put any napkins or ketchup for my fries. Also sandwich meat was mostly the fat part which I had to separate from little parts of meat. For $52 with a modelo beer while I waited for my order to be made I won’t be back to this restaurant again. I guess cook figured to just get rid of the fat part of the meat by giving it to me. Next time I’ll just go to In and out for better quality of meat and service.

Well... this must be a spot for those looking for reasonably priced prime rib or just a local who happens to label the Garden Club/hole as a hole in the wall neighborhood find as their "local spot". Ambiance, old school and a lil' grimy for my taste. There are booths and cafeteria style tables & chairs set up in a dining hall fashion. Reminded me of my catholic school hall where we ate our lunches. They clearly have to their regular patrons and one waitress was super nice and attentive. Now to the food. Hmmm... I'll be nice. The menu seemed promising. There were 8 of us. 5 had the prime rib, 2 had pasta and one had a salmon salad. We had chicken wings that were basic and tasted like Moms fried wings with salt/pepper & buffalo dipping sauce, nothing to write home about. For those who had the prime rib, the consensus was that it was flavorless and luke warm, served with room temperature frozen vegetables that should be left off the plate as it tasted the way it looked (unappetizing). The pasta dishes, chicken parm was underwhelming and not your typical breaded breast and was also luke warm. I had 2 bites and was done. They should rethink this dish and elevate it as it's like a cafeteria made meal. The chicken piccata lacked piccata flavor (lemon/capers). Salmon salad, no complaints. Garden Club is probably for the locals and the frequent customers who enjoy the food. I gave it a try after many people said to do so... mmmm, yeah. Not for me. More for ya'll. ENJOY!

Too bad I will never eat at garden club again, food mediocre and service was worse. I have been there at least ten times and enjoyed the hospitality. My wife found a push pin in her vanilla ice cream. The waitress remarked we don’t have any of those things here. I’m glad you did not put it in your mouth. She walked away and comped us ice cream. I showed her two push pins on the wall in our booth and she was smug. We paid the bill, left a modest tip and the waitresses patronized us as we exited. They yelled goodbye and were laughing at us . They were disrespectful and I’m disappointed in their behavior and lack of customer service. I have nothing positive to say about this establishment.Parking: Dumb question
