I have tried different food delivery services and this one is by far the best I have tried. I specifically ordered their food as a way to lose weight. The food is portioned so that you don't feel deprived. I literally couldn't believe that I was losing weight eating such tasty and delicious food. Besides seeing the weight come off, I feel more energetic, healthier, and am sleeping much better. The best part of zen though, was still to come. My husband was diagnosed with diabetes. I immediately called Zen Foods and started him on a program too. The customer service I received was unbelievable. They truly cared about the well being of my husband, talked to him personally as a way to reassure him that they could help him, made sure to customize a plan that would best fit his needs, and they were immediately able to send him his food. They even check in on him to make sure everything is going as planned. After being on the program for a short time, the doctors were amazed at how much better all his levels were. Zen has changed the way he eats, and I will forever be thankful to Zen for giving me peace of mind regarding my husbands health.

Don't understand this business and very disappointed in reviews. I been using different food prep companies for last 10 years. Every good prep company understand what Paleo or Keto diet is. Most basic good prep shops can give you food that has no dairy or gluten !!!! This company claims they help sick people, and celebrities !!! Dud almost all dishes have milk and gluten !!!! There is no Keto or Paleo menu !!! Plus the food looks like hospital food. No taste !!! Also the fruits and vegetables and other ingredients quality is not anything close to being fresh. You might as well go to Ralph's and pick shelf food. Actually Ralph's you get better quality and much cheaper!!!!

Easily, the best food service I've ever had the pleasure of using. They are kind and considerate, and the owner knows what he's talking about. I just finished some wagyu fajitas that blew me away. I was literally licking my plate and cracking up laughing, saying to myself, "I'm losing weight?!" After doing a lot of online research on meal delivery services, I chose ZEN to start 2023 in a healthy way. They had largely positive reviews on Yelp and there's a great 10% off yelp promo as well. I decided to start with a week and see how I liked it, and was initially drawn in by their website. The options are very clear and the site allows each client to list their food preferences (allergies/intolerances and dislikes). That information is used to generate a suggested menu, but there's still flexibility to opt out of their suggestions and choose from several entrees of your choice (if you opt out they just can't guarantee the meal will adhere to all your preferences, which was fine for me since I don't have severe allergies). I was actually very happy with the variety of the food. My favorites were the shrimp tacos, Nicoise salad and Greek chicken salad. The seafood and produce were clearly super fresh, and everything was very flavorful. The housemade Ranch dressing for one of the salads was the best I've had in a long time! My brother started a different meal delivery at the same time, and my food was definitely better: visibly fresher, clearly more effortful and palatable. His cost more than mine too.Because I was a new customer, there were a few glitches with the first few deliveries, but Greg (?my "case coordinator" is how I would best describe his role) was extremely helpful, patient, and responsive (even replying to my email on a late Sunday night). The delivery person was very courteous and thoughtful too and went out of his way to make sure I got my food in a timely way! It's rare nowadays to find such a professional and diligent group in food service. I work in a medical office and was impressed by how quickly ZEN responds to its client emails. I will order again and would strongly recommend ZEN to anyone who wants to try healthy but delicious food. Considering all that was involved: I ordered two meals a day, delivered fresh each day before bedtime (packed with multiple ice blocks and sealed with tamper-proof packaging in case you don't bring it in right away), prepared according to my preferences, I think it was very reasonably priced too!

I was with ZEN last year (2022) and the year before (2021), on and off. The food was good for a while and I was definitely losing weight - but admittedly, I am a picky eater. Don't eat seafood, shellfish, or pork and that's about half of their options. They have a very limited menu and only have about one new item that they switch out daily. Otherwise, you're eating the same thing every day, over and over. I got bored, so I took a break. Came back in 2022 and the food was different. I wasn't satisfied and wasted a lot of food by throwing it out or giving it to the homeless people in my area. It just seemed duller, less vibrant and with less flavor. Also, again, the menu had not changed. I was still very bored of the menu. If you want to lose weight and are okay with eating the same food over and over (and are not a picky eater), this is a great option for you. The customer service was great always. Just recommend having a wider range menu for your pickier customers. Almost forgot! Price! Expensive, yes. About the same as most "luxury" meal delivery services, if not slightly higher. For what you get, I'd say it's worth it.

I wanted to eat the food for a few months before I gave a review to see if they were consistent, they are restaurant quality. I'm not a big fan of vegetables but they do an incredible job seasoning/cooking the food to make it tast great. My favorites: Breakfast Burrito (one of the best in LA, I've tried many and this is up there) 5 spice asian salad (soo good) Vegetarian Bolognese is good, Parmesean chicken with noodles is really tasty.

I've tried at least 5 different services in the past 4 years and hands down Zen Foods easily beats all of down for the following reason:1) Food Quality - food is delicious and freshly delivered daily. This is critical because when meal prep services deliver 1x / week, the food gets old by EOW and I end up wasting a few meals here and there. The food is absolutely delicious, which means I end up eating every meal, which is critical to my macro count throughout the week. Nothing. Goes. To. Waste.2) Seamless Delivery - I can't tell you how many times meal prep services in the past have delivered to the wrong address, or left the meals at my apartment building door only to be stolen. This is never an issue with Zen Foods. The delivery experience is seamless and I've only once had an issue (at no fault of theirs).3) Excellent Support - I've spoken with Greg a few times on the phone and he is quick to pickup, and respond to all my queries. Ever since I've taken my training seriously, I've pestered them about exact calories, etc, and Greg has been quick to get back to me.Don't waste your time with anything else. Wow! I've tried 5 different meal plans. My most recent food delivery service company went out of business. At the time I was super bummed bc I thought I had found the 'best' one out there. Well, ZEN has now taken the crown! Im so glad to have found ZEN Foods. I finish every single meal without fail bc they are super tasty and diverse in options / tastes. My girlfriend and I have been on ZEN for over a month now. She started it for a week on her own and I signed up after I saw how it was working for her and tasting the food. I was surprised how great the food was. I'm a creature of habit and usually go to my regular burger joints so initially I wasn't sold. But we don't have time to cook and I've put on a ton of 'covid weight' so my goal was to lose a few of these lbs. I'm currently down 15lbs. Which I've managed to do without changing my workouts or anything else. Just the food bit. I still have a few more lbs to go and I may hit a plateau at some point but right now I couldn't be happier with the results/taste and quality of zen foods.
