I am bumping my initial 4 star review to 5 stars, after eating here twice more since that review. These sandwiches are not only very tasty, they don't skimp on the goods either! The staff, each time, has been splendid to interact with. If anything we are curious what happened to Jenny, as it is now called Rock n' Jay's. We're thinking there might have been a divorce. Hmmmmm... oh well, it's great ('as good as it gets' for you long time Yelpers).

This has been a go to spot for years! Great Italian subs! It's the best when the bread is freshly warmed out of the oven.

Best turkey sandwich EVER! I absolutely love it! I highly recommend this jewel I moved here a couple of years ago from Escondido and was so happy to see it in Temecula! I am so happy that I found this place! YUMMY

all employees were so kind and welcoming, including the clean up boy in the back. Food was great hence the fact they easily allow small customizations. Easygoing inside and very chill. Will definitely be going back again!

Absolutely my favorite sandwich shop, bread is always toasted perfectly and they aren't stingy with the meat. Get the Italian mafia marriage, best sandwich in Temecula/Murrieta if not the entire inland empire.

I am always down for a good sub. And this place didn't disappoint. Except for maybe a little. I ordered a hot pastrami to go. The wait wasn't very long. But I ordered the works. Prob wont do that again they put too too much lettuce on this sandwich. The meat was tender but I like my pastrami a little more peppery. If that makes sense. All and all the place was clean and not very pricey and everyone was really friendly. I will prob go back and try another sandwich. ;)

We visited for the first time today! We have been to many other sub places. My husband and I both agree these were the best tasting subs we have ever had! I had the turkey, he had the Italian. The price was comparable to other sub places. We will definitely be back!

The sub in this place are the best inland valley. Everything is fresh, bread, meat and cheese, very authentic and I love it. Staff are amazing and fast.

We have been here many times and always loved the sandwiches. Haven't been in almost a year and just came with some family. Our family ordered after us and got their food and finished it before we got ours. When we asked about our order the extremely YOUNG staff had no idea who we were. No recollection of our order even though we had drinks and an order number at our table. They said they would make it right away but put us at the end of everyone else there. By the time we got our food, they gave it to us "to go". We decided to just take it and leave. My husband informed the staff that we will never come back. Are you under new ownership? The sign said Rockin'Jays. Well Jay.... your staff is not capable of running your shop on a busy Sunday. Better put an ADULT back there

As a Philly transplant, this is the closest thing I can find to an Italian hoagie (Ultimate Mafia Marriage Grinder) in the area outside of San Diego. It ain't perfect. The bread is close. Mayo as default, as well as the addition of mustard is weird to me but I'm not mad at it. Get your oil and red wine vinegar on the side if you like to drench your hoagie.I wouldn't call it a grinder, since it ain't toasted, but whatever. If they offered Tastykakes and Wise chips I'd feel like I'm back at home.

Great customer service! The two workers were so kind and sweet. The sandwiches were just as delicious as the Escondido location. Hands down our favorite sandwich place!

I've been a customer of the Escondido location for many years and and would frequent this location after my workout at 24 hr Fitness across the street order a post workout sub and many times order one of their delicious salads to bring to work the next day....NEVER disappointed! I bought a home in Fallbrook a few years ago and my son and granddaughter decided to try the Temecula location. Well the staff were rude and incompetent to say the least! We placed our order and I ordered my usual Turkey sub with everything sans the mustard and pepperoncinis, add provolone cheese and onions, dressing on side. First thing I noticed were there was only one other customer in the establishment when we walked in (it was between lunch and dinner). It took at least 15 minutes and I noticed there were 3 employees. The male employee that took my order came to the table with my 6yr old granddaughter's spaghetti with a large meatball and my son's sub and mentioned they had to remake mine because they accidentally put mustard on my sandwich...waited another 10 minutes then I had to go ask for some parm cheese and a knife to cut the meatball for my granddaughter. When I finally got my sub (family halfway through their meal), I noticed they did not add the onions I asked for and went up to the register and waited once again for my onions ( no apology). Went back to the table to add my onions and noticed my cheese was left out of my toasted bun, the same employee asked me if I minded it cold and then proceeded to ask my order number. I said I have no idea as my son placed the order then he proceeded to sift through the receipts and when he found it he had the audacity to say we weren't charged and needed to pay for it! I said, you're kidding, right? You asked me specifically what kind of cheese I wanted, I told you and you failed to place my order correctly! I went to up to the register 3 times and waited (too long all toll) for things that were your mistake and now you want to charge for the cheese YOU forgot to add...WHAT?? Bad business! This particular employee was totally incompetent, non apologetic, in fact rude. Rock and Jenny....he's trouble for this location! I have NEVER experienced anything but expeditious and courteous and most definitely delicious food at the Escondido deli. Will not return to this one.
