This place is our fun date spot, and they don't disappoint. Super fun experience with great quality ingredients. I don't know her name, but we've had a really great server who has tattoos on the back of her elbows, and she's always gone above and beyond. Love this spot!

Fantastic waitress helped us figure out what we wanted. I hadn't been to a shabu shabu place in a long time. Broth was good and now they have induction stoves. Who knew?

52° evening is a perfect recipe for a tonkatsu hot pot meal. And that's the reason why I was craving taboo Shabu for some beef, short rib, tonkatsu shabu shabu. Now some people say that the broth is the most important. Others will argue. It's the cut of meat, and even some will say it's the variety of veggies (the vegetarians). I feel like the broth is 50%, the meat is 25%, and the veggies are 25%.That's why Tabu Shabu is so good. There are four choices of broth, and a great selection of meats. The platter of veggies is a great selection and a pretty good amount. I also had the truffle edamame. The truffle flavor and smell was on the strong side, so if you're like me, and you enjoy truffle, it will be very satisfying. They also have a really great selection of drinks, beer. And the service is really good. I'm also glad that it was the only business open, so there was plenty of parking. It doesn't have to be below 70° to enjoy Tabu Shabu. But it definitely helps create a hot pot atmosphere that adds to the enjoyment level.

A local gem! The food and service were amazing. The owner managed to handle a full bar after her staff called out for the day. I cant wait to come back and enjoy again.

You get a LOT of food! The shabby comes with your choice of protein/meat, sauce, rice, noodles, and a ton of vegetables. Plus there's a choice of add-ons, and who can resist adding a fresh soft boiled egg? I went with the sukiyaki soy sauce (that's the only thing I would have done differently - get the more traditional tonkotsu instead), ramen noodle, and Zabuton Wagyu short rib (I like lean beef). The ingredients were A+. Also, there's the fun factor that comes with Shabu. Bonus points because a lot of their meat is either grass-fed or locally sourced (Snake River farms). The location is an unassuming strip mall and it's a little stark and brightly lit inside.

Delicious food and excellent service. Was waffling on whether to go, and glad I did. Servers were super friendly and patient with the family. Highly recommended. Note counter-style seating only should you choose to go.

Probably one of the most bizarre service experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve never been to a Shabu Shabu style restaurant before, but I was excited to try it. The waitress greeted me with “what are you having” without asking me if I had been there before or explaining how anything works and/or portion sizes of the meat. What was extremely odd was that she greeted other parties who had entered entirely differently. She would ask them if they had been there before and explain how the food was served etc. I would have ordered more meat but the service staff rarely made an effort to check in on me and I didn’t really have an idea how small the portion sizes were. I’d have more to say about the food but the service was so strange and I was left looking around at other people to try and figure out how everything was supposed to go that I couldn’t really enjoy my food. The server is clearly capable of good service, I don’t have any idea why I was treated differently than the other guests. Apparently the person waiting on me was the manager, which makes that experience even more odd.

Slow service, no attention. Seems like the employees have never worked in the service industry. Small portions. Never gave us utensils or plates and when asked we were given dirty utensils.

Loved this place entirely. The staff was so nice and our waitress was so helpful. It was such a fun experience. It's not a large place so expect a wait at rush time, but it is so worth it! The white peach sake was also amazing...I might just swing by to pick some of that up haha. Thank you for the awesome meal!

Place was great! The food was awesome and was a great new experience. You order your meat which determines your price for the meal then the soups and what noodle (anything other than udon is extra charge). The vegetables that come with each order perfectly components the soups and help balances the meal. Each person has their own soup and overall was a great experience. They’re appetizer like the poke tasted pretty good aswell but the place for a bit pricey so I put it as a 4.5.

This place was tasty. Lots of bar seating and it was particularly empty when I came in. It definitely filled up as I ate but was still nice. Service was good and helpful if your not familiar with the process. I went with the spicy miso base and regular veggies. I also did a large ribeye and side of the wagyu. They have garlic and other seasonings to add to your broth which was great. I dominated all the meat and veggies and was still able to fit some noodles down. A little pricy but very delicious. I will probably stop by a few times while I'm working in the area. Definitely give it a go of your a soup person it's for you.
