Clean hotel. There are stores and other places to eat within walking distance of this hotel. My room was nice and modern. I was only here for 2 nights so I did not check out all that the hotel has to offer. Looks like there is some renovations occurring. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My family and I love this hotel even though it is currently under renovation.Check-in: there was no wait with plenty of staff to help. Someone immediately came to help us with all of our luggage, which was awesome because we had more than we could easily maneuver.The room: lovely and we can tell it was recently renovated. Everything was in good working order.The staff: everyone was friendly and helpful.I liked the Japanese theme curtains in the room as well as the landscaping in the courtyard; it's nice and different compared to other Double Tree Hotels.Diamond members have a $18 food and beverage credit for up to 2 people in a room for a total of $36/night. That is easily used at their restaurant for breakfast or dinner. We used it for dinner and everything on the menu was delicious. Dining in has 50% off happy hour menu specials as well.This hotel is the only one that doesn't charge for parking in the area, but that will change in the near future.

We have a loved one in the Torrance Memorial Hospital and have been frequent users of the hotel. They have a reduced hospital rate which has helped us stay longer. Many thanks!Rooms: Nice, cleanSafety: We stayed in a different area previously but moved here for security and proximity to the hospital, great choice.Food & drinks: Recommend ordering breakfast from the menu (~$18) vs the buffet ($32). Good portion size.

I stayed here while on a travel nurse assignment so I’ve stayed here multiple times. It’s was fine until they said that I stole a hairdryer. Didn’t ask or care about what I had to say. They just charged me. Very unfortunate and offensive because I definitely did not. Maybe one of their staff did? Idk but it left me with a bad taste especially since it was on Christmas Day and i had just got off from from the nearby hospital. Thank you doubletree for adding that bad news on top of my busy holiday weekend.

I unfortunately had to update my review due to my stay 11/18. This was my first time staying in the 2nd tower and the room was extremely lacking. The living area couch was stiff and uncomfortable, the lighting in the bedroom was lacking, and A/C kept us up most of the night because it was so loud. The sliding bathroom door is not secure and felt like it would come off the track. Also, the elevator was outdated (raggedy dirty carpet) and smelled horrible. I know you are renovating the hotel but you should have started with the 2nd tower first. Questioning if I will return.

The hotel is lovely. Pool and jacuzzi available. Breakfast is not bad.There are places to eat and drink and a shopping center within walking distance of the hotel. The banks area and the surrounding area are clean. 5 to 6 minutes by car away from the hospital and a supermarket.
