Side dishes looks old and serves only 4 side dishes(mainly kimchi). Place looks old and dirty. Food isn’t spectacular. Just mediocre. Price isn’t that cheap compare to what I get. Disappointed.

The kalbitang really good and their pork bbq excellent. We hadn't been there for 2 years because of the pandemic, but now will go back on a regular basis!

Love this place great food. Always out of one item every time I go. A different item every time, but it makes me try different stuff

Met a friend for a Korean Breakfast before heading back to the Bay Area. Jin Kook is located on the border of Gardena and Torrance. In a old strip mall with a small sign that is easy to miss. Jin Kook opens at 7 am and specializes in Sul lung Tang and Hangover soups along with traditional Korean dishes. The interior is small with with about 15 tables. We arrived at 9 am and were greeting and seated by a nice Korean (Uma) server. Korean comfort food is what they serve. We both ordered the Sul lung Tang $13.95 comes with the beef broth soup rice and Banchans. The Banchans consisted of Kim chi, marinated bean sprouts, dried fish, peppers and a salad that was like arugula. The Sul lung Tang is comparable to the gold standard of Hang Bat but with more meats. Service was excellent and there is plenty of parking. Jin Kook is a hidden gem.

Great find! It's one of those hole in the walls that's a hidden gem of a restaurant. Highly recommend!

Hidden gem! Wanted to try sullungtang places near our house and gave this place a try! Its a small mom and pop shop, the owners are very nice and friendly. Sullungtang was very good, i would say its the best out of few others ive tried near by. Portions are big, lot of side dishes, kimchi is also very good. Will definitely be going back often to try other items as well!

What a hidden gem! This is a true hole in the wall with Korean ajummas who can cook! We went for the first time today after another restaurant was closed until a later hour and my goodness. They did not disappoint! We got #1 Sullungtang and it was delicious and made well. We will be back to try other dishes ASAP.

3* was out of kindness: overlooked needing to swat away flies while eating, and hated giving low rating. But reevaluated in fairness to other restaurants and Yelp readers. We ate here trusting the Yelp 3.5* rating and default Yelp selected 5* reviews. That equates to 3.5* Hansol in HMart, which has so-o-o much better food at good value. Had I sorted reviews by "lowest rated," I would Not have had to find out Jin Kook's shortcomings first hand. To reviewers who misled me: Food that need doctoring up do not deserve 5*!

Highly underrated restaurant. The food here is "jin kook" which translates to "the real deal". I have been coming here for over 10 years and the food has remained the same. The owner grandma puts all her heart and soul into all the dishes. Very good down to earth, home cooked meals. Can't go wrong with the sul lung tang. Highly recommend this local restaurant!

The best bone broth soup (sullungtang) ever in LA. Authentic, and home made. No artificial flavoring means you get this when you’re not feeling too well and crave mom’s cooking.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff, especially Robert who went above and beyond to see that I got settled in after a late arrival and problems with my flight

I very much enjoy the dishes and service, fantastic area close to my home. The cashiers are always super nice. I highly recommend this place.

I ordered spicy soup but it was not very spicy which made it have no taste. The kimchee was not very good at all. Overall, the food did not meet the standards of what I expected from Korean food. Korean food is seasoned to perfection, especially their vegetables. This restaurant the food had absolutely no seasoning of taste!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. A HIDDEN GEM OF TORRANCE!! The owners were so so so sweet! We ordered 4 menus and they gave us so much side dishes. Their radish Kimchi is so amazing. They were so considerate too; for the jalapeño pepper, they put the ice so they could stay fresh. Also, for the price, it was very very filling!! The food was also amazingly good. Im glad I found this place. Will definitely come back!
