[Review #709] 2022 Yelp 100 Challenge (30/100) We moved in mid-November 2022, & my colleagues recommended Metro Cafe for its convenient location & hours. Located on the southeast side of the Park Del Amo office building, the cafe serves up classic breakfast & lunch items: breakfast sandwiches & burritos; omelettes; quesadillas; oatmeal; bagels; smoothies; hot, cold, & specialty sandwiches; Metro specialties; salads. There's enough walkable options since the PDA sits on the busy corner of Crenshaw & Sepulveda Blvds., but for those that prefer to stay on campus, Metro Cafe offers convenient business hours with breakfast served until 10:30 AM. I was rather hungry on a Friday morning, & called in an order of BACON, EGG & CHEESE POTATO BURRITO while en route to the office. After I dropped off my laptop, I moseyed my way down to the cafe & my burrito was ready by the time I paid. The burrito came with a small container of red salsa, possibly from a jar, still tasty with a mild kick; I would prefer a spicier version. It was a decent size burrito & somewhat hefty... just enough to satiate my morning hangriness. The burrito was nice & crispy with just the right amount of filling that I'm not just eating the tortilla at the first & last bites. I got a little of everything with each bite: bacon, egg, cheese, & potatoes, though I prefer a thicker bacon cut. No wow factor, just a classic, no frills breakfast burrito that satisfies. The mid-sized cafe offers a clean & spacious dining room as well as patio seating, especially nice during spring through fall. With a concentrated classic menu, prices range from inexpensive to moderate, & value-worthy on some menu items. I can't speak for everything since this is my 1st visit, but my colleagues & I do enjoy Metro Cafe's food. Adding fast & friendly service, yeah, I'll definitely be back. Recommended: Bacon, Egg & Cheese Potato Burrito; colleagues' recommendations: Harvest Salad with Chicken, Tuna Supreme Sandwich.

I'm not fan of eating sandwiches but I started going this place because my wife loves this place. The sandwiches from the Metro Café is something different, their sandwiches are very fresh and testy, I also love their beef taco burritos, I strongly recommend people to try these two items, they will not let you down.

This is one of those well-kept secrets for lunch, especially if you want something closeby and quiet!! It's like a paradise break in the middle of the day. The place is very clean, the 2 ladies are gracious and polite!! My wife and I split an egg salad sandwich and a salad. Hard to go wrong with simplicity!! The salad was large, and the sandwich was very adequate. The only problem is location and lack of any signage. Otherwise, it is our new Go-to lunch spot!!

This is a little hidden cafe in a corporate building. What a nice, convenient surprise! Ordered a pastrami sandwich, egg salad sandwich, Asian chicken salad and an iced mocha. Everything was really good and the portions were really good for the price! Super reasonable! I can't wait to try the breakfast foods! I will definitely be frequenting here! They also sell specials like lasagna, beef bulgogi bowl, and teriyaki chicken bowls--yum!

Cute little place with decent offers for lunch for the nearby working people. My only gripe is the $8 min for card. Like its 2019, hardly anyone keeps cash!

Work in nearby building. This is my 3rd time being here. 1st time i ordered a chicken melt and it was soggy. Next 2 times i ordered a grilled cheese and it has taken 15 minutes each time to make a grilled cheese. Rediculous.

This is a small cafe nestled between our office buildings here in Torrance, Ca. Ms. Lee runs this fine establishment with great options to choose from. It is a little pricey but it teaches me to bring my own lunch if I don't want someone else charging me to prepare my food lol

This is a nice convenient cafe for breakfast and lunch if you do not want to drive any where. My go to favorites are the breakfast burritos and the Veggie Sandwich-A. The prices are affordable and the owner is super nice. Most people come for the salads and soups, which I have not had yet.

This is a very secluded and cute cafe. If you weren't looking for it, you would never find it. I got a giant sandwich for $6, and highly recommend it for someone looking for a reasonably priced, good meal

Torrance Food Crawl #105 I was pleasantly surprised. I'm accustomed to avoiding the little cafes serving business buildings with their captive audiences and offering limited selections in an environment that usually has a distinctive smell (often its grease that the ventilation system can't remove). But here is a cafe that should stand as a destination of its own and not one that is a secret to the people working in the Park Del Amo business complex. There is a typical selection of cafe items, coffees, teas, sandwiches, salads, chips, drinks, etc. I tried the Californian Sandwich which comes with turkey, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, tomato, lettuce, sour cream sauce, on a French roll. The sprouts added a nice touch and there was plenty of avocado. Everything was very fresh. The only knock I have was that there perhaps could be more turkey meat, but that being said, the sandwich was good and it was filling. The place was very clean and the two ladies working there were courteous. The full menu is not prominently displayed - I found it behind a sign when first walking in. Some of the menu items are displayed in paintings on the wall, a nice touch. Walking out I noticed that the clock on the wall had only the number 7 on it. When I asked about that I was told that it was a lucky number. Well, good luck!

I don't like that other Korean lady that works there.. She look at you while you're typing in your pin number.. P.s- I asked for a large Coke, she gave me an Diet Coke after I tasted it while back into my car. Otherwise.. The other lady were nice!!

Not many people know of this great lunch destination outside of the Park Del Amo business complex, which is a shame since its truly a hidden gem. Reasonable prices, a friendly staff, and daily lunch specials make the trip worth the visit. I usually get my favorite, the "Indescribable Sandwich", and it comes loaded with lots of ingredients. If they are busy during the lunch rush be sure to call ahead and place an order by phone. Metro Cafe is excellent.
