I'm giving this hidden gem a 4 stars. So after finding out they open at 5am right when I get off of work I decided to swing by and grab some bread. .well they had maybe two trays of bread in the case To pick from Not a problem since I got there about 5:15 am. Anyways I got a about 5 different breads and a cup of gelatin with chunks of jello. Total came out to about $10. The bread was packed with flavor and was super soft. I will definitely be coming back.

Had to try the Tres Leches here after seeing the positive reviews. I went about 30 minutes before closing time at 6pm on Friday, and it was empty except for the two workers behind the counter. I saw they still had about 6 of the smaller cakes available, with different options of fruit toppings, Oreos, and chocolate. There is also another counter filled with all types of pan dulce, and they looked so yummy. I got the 1/8 sheet vanilla tres leches cake with strawberries, and apple and orange slices on top. It also had a nice drizzle of chocolate. My total came to $30 for the cake and 2 breads, so the prices are very good for the cake. Albertsons cake is like $38.

I've only had the opportunity to try their mini conchitas. All 3 flavors, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate were DELICIOUS!! Nothing compared to my local bakery's and especially nothing compared to the Northgate ones. These conchitas were perfect size to eat up in 4 bites. The candy coating was sooo good. The conchita bread is not dry! It is a little less spongy than your typical conchitas, it's more flatter, but it only means the bread to candy shell coating ratio is PERFECT! Sadly, I ate all 6 conchitas, by myself, before being able to take pics. I live an hour away from the bakery but it would be very well worth the drive to get more!
Ever since our family trip to Costa Rica, we fell in love with 'Panaderias' aka Mexican/Spanish Bakeries. Wanted to order cake for our elder daughter's birthday and we wanted to try this place. Saw the reviews on Yelp and they seemed to be good. Went to the shop on a weekday afternoon, parking is convenient and it is right of the intersection of Western & Carson street. Have been to this area but never paid a visit to this bakery before. The person at the counter was very helpful and was patiently answering all our questions. We ordered the birthday cake for the next day. Went with the marble cake (combination of chocolate and vanilla flavor) decorated similar to mocha cake. Even though we didnt order the Mocha flavor, we requested them to decorate it as if it were a Mocha cake, they gladly agreed. Also the topping can be chosen with what kind of fruits you would want. We asked for just the strawberries. The cost was very reasonable and we ordered a quarter sheet (good for 18 to 20 people) for $47. Note that the strawberries or any extra customizations we asked for, came with no extra cost. We did see fresh pastries in the shop and they all looked yummy. As we were already getting a huge cake for the next day, controlled the temptation and didnt order any other item :). Well the next we picked up the cake an hour before the scheduled time. The wording on the cake could have been written better but not a big deal. The cake was moist and yummy and very flavorful. Everyone liked the cake and especially the birthday girl. Will definitely visit this place again to train their other yummy looking pastries.

I finally found a panaderia close to me. I moved to Torrance about 2 years ago,and I missed my pan dulce. I couldn't find an authentic Mexican bakery, I was pleasantly surprised when I found this little spot. They have a variety of bread, and omg, their tamales are super delicious. They are moist and tasty. Make sure you get there early because they run out fast. I would definitely recommend this bakery. They also sell fresh juices and smoothies, amongst other things. This is typical of a Mexican bakery. You have the best of both worlds (healthy & not so healthy )
