I live 30-45 min away from the restaurant but after discovering this gem, I’m almost here every weekend.You cant go wrong with the American sliced beef don. Perfectly portioned and perfectly seasoned, reasonably priced for a medium size and you can get a large if you’re feeling a little more meat. The rice under the meat is also well seasoned with sauce and quite good on its own. Opt for an egg if available; it just takes the entire thing up a notch. The meat is not too raw for those who’re concerned, but just nicely roasted that it’s tender and juicy.Hamburg omu rice - the star of the dish i’d say is definitely the garlic rice (you can choose between Garlic or… ketchup? i forgot) and demi glace sauce. Hamburg steak is nice, but the rice and sauce is just too good that the steak itself becomes kind of a side-character.I’d say the American Cut Steak don is just as good as the sliced don if you’re into chewier meat.Croquette… was ok.Service’s attentive and the atmosphere’s great.Definitely recommend!*nijiya market next door is pretty fun to shop at, and I always make sure i save some time for the market before going home.

I have never experienced such poor service. We came to the restaurant for dinner and ordered three glasses of wine, but when the waiter brought the wine, he spilled two of the glasses, shattering them on the table and glass shards landed on us. He didn't utter a single word of apology. I asked if there was any compensation or discount available, and he simply said no, without even a hint of remorse. It wasn't until I mentioned wanting to speak to the manager that he agreed to waive the cost of the two glasses of wine, and even then, he said the manager was too busy to see us. From start to finish, it made us feel the restaurant is so incredibly arrogant and disrespectful. We finished this meal with anger, and will never come back again.

Everything was great. The space is very clean and a good atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and courteous. The food was very fresh and prepared beautifully. Honestly the best Don I've ever had. I eat various kinds of Asian food frequently, and this is definitely within top 10.

Cut steak don, the steak is tender and deliciousSliced beef don, the beef slices are spread out and eaten with rice. It is very smooth and delicious.Hamburg steak retains the original flavor of beef and goes well with the sauce.Love it!

Little hole in the wall establishment for amazing beef bowls! The restaurant is tucked into an alcove in the Nijiya Market plaza. Seating is limited (a few 4-tops and a few 2-tops, plus 5ish counter seats), so aim to get there during off hours if you hate waiting in line like me. The menu is small but will knock your socks off. The beef is tender and always cooked to perfection, and the yogurt sauce that comes with the beef slice don is absolutely delicious! Service is always top notch.

After 21 years of wanting to try some authentic Omurice with Demiglace sauce and not ketchup, I have finally done so at Red Rocks. My first encounter with omurice was from a Japanese Drama called Lunch Queen. Ever since watching it, I've tried several omurice but not with demigpace sauce like in the show.The wait is over and it was delicious. While I didn't cry like they did in the show, it was magical.

Great simple Japanese food at a good price point. Would come again. Steak was cooked to medium rare. Curry had a good flavor, and rice was perfectly cooked. I also got tonkatsu on the side which was very good because they use a more fatty piece of pork. Would recommend.
