Had a craving for some ice cream and glad I came here! It’s in the mall so the only tough part is finding parking but everything else was great, cheap and delicious. It’s in the middle of the alley way/food court. I ordered the cookies and cream with Nutella waffle fish ?. SO GOOD, creamy and light, hit the spot. Definitely will return and try other flavors, toppings and filling. Customer service was friendly and helpful.

This is my go to when coming to Del Amo Mall! The custard taiyaki is my absolute favorite. Especially when you eat right off the hot plate. So soft and chewy in the middle which makes it the best. I also love getting their cheddar flavor for a more savory option. Their ice cream is also a must have and the amount they give you is enough to feed two. They have a tablet you can order on and the cashier as well. The line can get a bit long depending on the day and time. The wait can also be very long. But, I went this time on a Thursday at around 7pm and it was not packed at all.

Used to be way better before they start to cut corners. They won’t even properly fill up the cups with ice cream but instead they’ll leave the middle completely hollow. They’ve also started to put as little filling as possible.

Soft texture, creamy and smooth on top of deliciousness!I've been to Osaka and had the soft serve there and it was next level!I'm not in Osaka and this is the closest I can get to this deliciousness.This place does a great job in recreating the Japan soft serve in the US.There are only a handful of flavors but I highly recommend getting your own cup but it will disappear within 5 minutes between two people.I ordered the cookies and cream in the cup without the waffle. The waffle is good but I'm ready to dig in this delicious!

Never had a Somi Somi. Decided to try their matcha "upside down" taiyaki with red bean topped with graham cracker and toasted coconut. It's a really nice treat. Small menu, easy to order at the tablet. Pick up in a few minutes at the other end of the kiosk. There's four single flavors and then two "twist" ones. Seems like very good quality soft-serve...doesn't melt right away and it's not icy, more creamy. They also offer "sips" (drinks) like strawberry milk and cold brew coffee. I was interested in the strawberry milk and asked a staff member about it. Unfortunately he said that he "never tried it". It would be nice for staff to be a little more knowledgeable about the products that they are selling (free marketing!) or ask a co-worker. At least their soft serve was good, not so sure about the strawberry milk:(

I had the milk tea and matcha combo soft serve with taro filled taiyaki and it was AMAZING. The milk tea flavor surprised me because it tasted really authentic like actual milk tea. This location is inside the del amo fashion center mall and by the food court. I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t, great dessert place. Really authentic korean soft serve! The flavors alternate often and they make it pretty quickly so the wait isn’t long. Probably the best soft serve I’ve ever had. Come try somi somi!!!
These desserts are made to order. The pastry fish is good. I got it filled with custard and cookies & cream ice cream. The ice cream is not very good in my opinion. Next time I will get only the fish with a filling! These fish shells are made, cooled and served fresh.

After having dinner at Din Tai Fung inside the Fashion mall, Yelp led us here for dessert and I was not disappointed. It was my first time at SomiSomi; I had no idea there were multiple locations around SoCal, but the bottom line is if you're looking for some delightful dessert concoctions and you're a fan of ice cream, don't snooze and get your butt some delicious ice cream here.If you've never tried this, you might be a little confused, but if you're in the mood for ice cream--just go get an upside down taiyaki (fish waffle cone) filled with nutella with your favorite soft serve swirl...and top it with some oreos or something. You simply can't go wrong there.I got the ube and cookies swirl, nutella filled taiyaki with a few toppings. Overall--so delish and fun...and picture-worthy. Except, I accidentally ate it before taking photos - gotta get back in those good Yelp habits.

I remember trying this place years ago. It didn't leave a lasting impression and I didn't think much of it. Recently, while I was at the mall, I saw it and something told me to try it again and I'm so glad I did! It was YUMMY. I got the Cookies 'n Cream & Ube swirl and it definitely left me wanting more. Like I wanted to come back the next day and get it again. Lol. There's always people waiting for their order and a line to order, but it goes by quickly. People obviously like it and for good reason - it's delicious!!! If you want something to satisfy your sweet tooth or cool you down, I recommend this place. : )

Soft serve with a twist! I like their Upside Down Ahboong where they swirl the ice cream of your choice in a cup then top it with a made-to-order toasty waffle in a fish shape. They have four staple flavors which are Matcha, Cookies & Cream, Chocolate, and Ube and they also have their weekly mixed swirl flavors. You can add a filling in your waffle too. I like to add custard in mine. Or if you don't want the ice cream, they sell the waffles separately too. Yummy treat for a hot day! Located near the food court at Del Amo Mall in Torrance.
