I love the cakes but sad, they don't know of tge saying " customer is always right "I really want the cake from here, but they are making it so hard.I waited for 30 minutes on hold ?They need to communicate with each other. I received 3 calls the same day.

Many of the workers do not know a lot of basic questions regarding cakes and prices. I’ve ordered some drinks here over years and .. when a cup needs to be replaced before giving it to customers please do that because several times the cups are leaking every time you take a sip. Please be better at that. Thanks.

We usually go to the Gardena location. Fortunately they ran out of 'Kings Cake' ( Nawlins style ) Mardi Gras *Fat Tuesday Celebration* and the staff had suggested to come here and check out their 75% larger selections of pastries as well as to see if they had any 'Kings Cake's available.Luckily we were able to secure 1 of 3 that was left. The place was just that, about 75% larger than the Gardena location.I couldn't believe the selections they had. Donuts, croissants, macaroons, cookies, muffins, cupcakes, coffee, and more! It's a Saturday and quite busy our server was quite eager to serve us however had trouble with understanding what we came for. We had to say it 3 times until her co worker came up and informed us that she was a new hire. With all due respect I believe the training should've included clairvoyance in communication and knowledge of key items or special sale items to be sold in order to avoid confusion. It wasn't her fault for not knowing.I've worked retail my entire working history and understand. I felt better after the African American gentleman behind the counter cleared that up for us. He informed us that he had baked the cakes himself and was pleased to hear that.I do empathize for the young gal who served us.The rest of the staff were on top of the big Saturday afternoon rush. All in all they made a great first impression and we will be coming back for more pastries and baked goodiness is that even a word? Lol!

Out of Our Nest

The quintessential neighborhood spot for sweet treats, birthday cakes, and wedding cakes. Their donuts are on par (or better) with any other donut shop in the neighborhood, and the shortbread cookies are sure to make any small child or adult smile. There’s an incredible assortment of freshly baked cookies daily, including, but not limited to, chocolate chip, peanut butter, divine, and chewy fudge. All cakes are decorated with an expert hand, and the staff and management aim to please. It’s not uncommon to see a line out the door, but there may be seven or eight people inside working to help everyone so the line goes fast. You can also pick up a freshly brewed cuppa coffee or iced mocha inside as well. A few doors down is also the Torrance Café, part of the bakery, and they make an array of delicious sandwiches for about $10. They offer several different varieties of bread for the sandwiches, and there are also freshly made salads although they will run out sometimes. The café is open every day, except for Sunday, with the exception being every fourth Sunday of the month when the Torrance antique Street Faire is held.Parking: There are some street parking spots in front, and also a parking lot at the rear of the store, which are usually available.
