I'm sorry, but a new and updated review is needed. My friends and I went for happy hour based on my prior experiences and we went yesterday and their happy hour menu wasn't the greatest. Very basic menu. We ordered nachos and they seemed to be made from a can. The service was acceptable. The ambiance is nice.

Gonna keep it short. Food was decent, but I was charged $0.25 for each Tapatio packet. They do have a complimentary salsa bar so initially I let it go. But after a few hours, I just couldn't believe a Mexican restaurant would charge for a Tapatio packet. That's like a Chinese restaurant charging for soy sauce packet. Was it just me that got charged for my favorite sauce by my favorite Uncle? Cmon Tortilla Cantina, do better. Or...post somewhere that Tapatio packet is not free.

Noisy bar/restaurant. Seated immediately. Server didn't get to our table for 30 minutes. Dinner was good.

The Tortilla Cantina in Old Torrance is the worst so-called Mexican food I've ever had, you can't even call this Mexican food. I've had better and more authentic better tasting Mexican food at Taco Bell. And don't even get me started about the service which was completely horrible. Stopped in to have lunch the other day around 12:30 in the afternoon and it's like no one cares if they even serve you and the place wasn't even crowded there were no customers. My buddy, and I went in there just to order some tostadas for lunch. The server could've cared less when we made them aware that our food wasn't even hot. I would never step foot in this establishment ever again.

My party of 12 recently had a disheartening experience at Tortilla Cantina, largely due to the rude behavior of the manager, Lisa. Upon arriving, she asked us to wait outside while others with smaller parties were seated inside, pushing us back in line. When I politely inquired about the delay, Lisa provided conflicting information about first-come, first-served and asked if I had a reservation, creating confusion. As the situation escalated, Lisa became furious, and her attempt to find another table felt more confrontational than accommodating. It's disappointing that such behavior comes from the owner's daughter, as it not only tarnishes the restaurant's reputation but also raises concerns about customer treatment in a family establishment. With a lack of professionalism and questionable service, Tortilla Cantina's charm was overshadowed by this unsettling encounter.

Although the service was wonderfully nice, the food was...lacking. The only thing we ordered was nachos and it was the saddest nacho plate I've ever seen. So so sad

The lunch special and tortilla soup are great. As well as crispy chicken tacos. Lisa is great too!

I was on my way to the theater, but I was super hungry. I walked around and stumbled upon this place. After I was greeted warmly by my server, I sat outside. Then I read the Yelp reviews. Holy Cow! Anyhoo, the service was lovely but the food was m'eh. I was in a hurry, but I was offered free chips and salsa. I would try it again and look closer at the menu. That salad was a joke though.

A good place to eat at if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. Nothing fancy, nothing special. I had their chicken fajita bowl, it definitely needed more chicken! Overall, it wasn't bad. There was one employee pretty much running the entire restaurant, he did a great job! As far as ambiance, your typical quick dine cantina vibe. The floors could have definitely used some sweeping, could have been cleaned a little better.
