Super rad coffee spot. The Vietnamese coffee is the best - TJ Cool and the Crack are my favorite drinks there. The only coffee place I go to in the area. Keep an eye out for it in an off alley next to a poke/sushi place. Much love for this spot plus I dig the punny name.
We had an extended layover in LA and didn't want to sit in the airport. Luggage in hand we Ubered on over to the beach. My daughter is big into coffee shops and we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the warm December weather. It was perfecto! Had some coffee, sat outside a bit. Then we walked up and down the boardwalk checking out the skateboarders and weight lifters. Then when we got tired we sat back down for another round. Got the TJ-Cool (basically it's thick Vietnamese coffee, $4.50 USD =) and it. Was. Good. Suuuuuuuoer thick and super strong and with just the right amount of sweetness for balance. I'm an avid coffee drinker and an bigger v-coffee drinker and I must say, one of the best I've had (and I've been to Vietnam). Great little place we found while strolling through Venice beach for the first time (February 2020).
