I grew up in northern New Jersey, the epicenter of great Italian food and pizza. I've grown to accept that California pizza just isn't the same. Until yesterday. Delgada Pizza is The. Best. Pizza. In. CA! I had a thin crust cheese pizza with 1/2 anchovy and it was soooooo perfect! Wife had thin crust Veggie, but I'd suggest that it needed a thicker crust to hold all the veg. But still wonderful. If you're in Shelter Cove and want the best pizza of your life...
Only pizza in town, so I wasn't expecting much. Pleasantly surprised, even my hubby (always looking for a good slice) really enjoyed the pizza. The young man who took our order was genuinely friendly and helpful, just a really good experience + good pizza!! Easy parking, good pizza and friendly staff, nice place to grab a quick delicious slice of pie.
It was good pizza, the crust was absolutely perfect. The pizza as a whole was a little tasteless, I couldn't taste the garlic at all. Perfectly cooked however. $32 for a pizza for 2 Pele, I expected more but I understand the challenges of having a restaurant in an or of the way place like shelter cove.
