Called here and was told it could be about an hour of a wait . After going on a walk we later returned and as it was really cold staff let us stand under the heaters which was very good of them . Shortly after we were seated and what followed had to one of the best Dinners we ever had . Real Italian Food served in generous portions by top class staff . A great night out in a great Restaurant

We sat outdoor facing the downtown, atmosphere is great! Food was very tasty as well as the service is excellent. Had the house red and was pleased. First time here but won’t be our last. Hubs had the tortellini and I had the eggplant

Very popular casual dining Italian restaurant in Downtown Boulder. Cozy spaces invite on colder nights, but on more pleasant evenings large windows slide open to allow for excellent airflow. Most evenings will entail a wait, especially for larger parties. Don't worry, they offer discounted house wine while you wait, and the food is definitely worth it. The menu is primarily pasta-based Italian cuisine. Pizza is available as well, along with ginormous salads. All of the entrees are served with Garlic Bread, which is very garlicky indeed. The portion sizes are very substantial, the prices offer great value, and the servers are friendly and efficient despite being almost always busy. All of these explain their popularity. You will find something for virtually every palate here.

Really enjoyed our meal here. We had two different Tortellone dishes and they were really good! Good portion size, bread came with the meal. Service was good. We were there between lunch and dinner and they were still decently busy, but we were seated right away. Good place for yummy pasta dish (pizza looked good too)!

This was my favorite place when we lived here 35 years ago. I was very sad when they took off my favorite eggplant parmesan, but it was still a great restaurant. Then we moved away for 30 years. Jump ahead 30 years as we recently moved back to Colorado. I was thrilled when I looked at their menu and eggplant parm was back on the menu. I went back asap and it was exactly the same as the original and served hot with delicious hot garlic bread. And excellent service. Although now about an hour away I will be coming back. The old restaurant had a large tree in the middle of the dining room. I think the location has changed a bit too. I wrote a few time to the manager requesting the eggplant be brought back. Maybe it helped and maybe others requested it too. It is unbelievably good.

This restaurant has weathered the years of change in Boulder and is just like it was 20 years ago when we first came here. My kids went to the University of Colorado and introduced us to the place. An authentic Italian place and a fun atmosphere. If you are from out-of-town, you will find the culture of Boulder here with lots of locals. On a Saturday night at 7:20 p.m. in the summer, the wait was about 40 minutes. The prices are upscale Boulder, but not ridiculous. Ribs and Noki (not priced on the menu) was $26. Love the garlic bread; nothing special and that's what I like about it. An excellent people watching place if you are into that. Have dinner and skip down a couple doors for some gelato.

My wife and I enjoyed a nice dinner on a cold, rainy April night in Boulder. i had the jumbo stuffed shells and she had the Tuesday night special, eggplant Lombardi. Both were delicious. Atmosphere was warm and cozy and the service was pleasant. For some reason we don’t often think of Pasta Jay’s when choosing a restaurant, but we loved our dinner and hope to be back soon.

Good wine and salads. The entrées were disappointing. My husband had the special stuffed shells with clams. What he got was a plate of butter sauce. There were no shells and only little pieces of canned clams. I had the special sausage rigatoni Ragu. The flavor was fine it was just pretty much missing the sausage.

We stopped here while walking in Boulder. We were seated after a very short wait. Our waitress, Olivia, was friendly and came to our table quickly. Since it was cool, we ordered the chicken gnocchi soup and the special minestrone soup. Both were tasty, but both had just a bit too much pepper. They would be much better if the pepper sting wouldn’t remain on the tongue. The Josephina pizza was really good. Great crust and toppings. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend. Good, friendly service.

We stopped here around 12:45 for lunch. We were waiting to be seated and there was a large party sitting there waiting for there food. The waitress acknowledged us and explained she would seat us as soon as she got that window of food out. Understandable and I thought this was a good practice. We were seated less than 5 minutes after that. We ordered our food shortly after being seated. Our food was brought out to us hot and bubbly. Portions were large. Each meal came with fresh baked garlic bread. Salads were extra. Definitely a place to go for a hot pasta meal.

We like to dine in local restaurants and Pasta Jay's was recommended by a local. It reminded us of places we ate in Italy. It's a busy place and doesn't take same day reservations after 4:00. We decided to go late and see how long we would need to wait. We arrived about 8:00 and had maybe a 30 minute wait. I had the Vegetable Cannelloni and my husband had the Pasta Fresca, both delicious and served piping hot. Servers were friendly and prompt and the hostess went out of her way to find an answer to our question about walking in Boulder. It did remind us of placed we ate in Italy. If back in town we would definitely return.

We stumbled across this Italian restaurant while visiting and shopping in Boulder and we chose it at random due to its location. We had the stuffed Genovese and pizza formaggio. The food was fine, tasty, the service was good, and the restaurant clean although noisy due to families in attendance.

We loved eating at Pasta Jays. My kids loved the cheese pizza and I had the gluten free pasta with the rigatoni with meat sauce. Everyone’s food was awesome and the service was great.

(And I even got McDonald's late one night.) The wait was super long, which didn't really bother me too bad but then the table we were sat at was smaller than a card table and had 4 adults sat at it. Meanwhile groups of 2 were sat at larger 4 tops. Not to mention our table was SLAMMED into the table next to us ... literally I heard the guy behind me when his phone VIBRATED! Our waitress was at our table maybe twice the whole time. None of our food was any good. We didn't got garlic bread until we also had the check on our table. Safe yourself. Don't g.
