Excellent Mexican restaurant with authentic taste. Guillermo, the manager of the restaurant was very helpful with the selection of the food. Molcajete bowls were delicious. I recommend this place.
2nd visit:
I did a catering of chicken and steak burritos for a party of 20.
Jaime and his team came thru and everyone loved the sauce on top and asked where these were from. Food was ready hot and on time for pick up. I would give a 10 stars if I could.

The owner here is always so kind, remembers who we are, takes great care of his customers. The food is delicious. We get the street tacos and the el tapatio special and they’re so good. The staff are kind and your food always comes out in a timely manner!

My wife and I have been coming here nearly every Saturday night for 10+ years. Outdoor patio is awesome, food is great, margaritas es muy bueno! I recommend the Green Iguana or El Tapatio marg. Staff is courteous and attentive, and if you get a chance to say “hola” to the manager Guillermo you won’t regret it. He takes great pride in his craft of managing this location. Please give this a try!
We recently moved to Broomfield and were looking for a new restraunt to have a drink and eat some great food. We found El Tapato after a trip to Walmart and decided to check it out. The staff was super welcoming, the food was amazing and came out in a timely manner, and the best part is it was affordable. Highly recommend this place!

Food was good; the service was bad. When we asked to split the check, they made a very big deal out of it. It was someone’s birthday, and they had given him a hat. After we asked, the server came out, took the hat away aggressively, and then said that because we asked for separate checks, they would take the hat back.

Delicious Food & Great Service!
I had the Chile Relleno burrito and it was very good—flavorful and satisfying. The sopapillas are hands-down the best in town—warm, fluffy, and perfect with honey. Their margaritas are both generous and affordable, which is always a plus. Service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and they really took care of us. Definitely a spot I’ll return to!

Went to celebrate my daughter's birthday, but per the waiter there is no more complimentary dessert for any birthdays which seems pretty sad for s Mexican restaurant! He proceeded to just walk away didn't even ask us if we'd like something anyway. It's obvious we didn't go out to get freebies as we were paying for our dinner to begin with, but the whole vibe was off! Don't go celebrate your loved ones there if you want an actual effort made.

Great food, amazing prices, and welcoming atmosphere! Had the cheese enchilada plate (vegetarian) and a house margarita - both were delicious, and we will definitely be back!
The worst Margaritas we ever had, tasted like a powder mix, yuk! The server ignored us except when we asked her about Happy Hour price, then she argued, and was wrong, rude. No mas, gracias!
