So the only reason they got a one star as because the wait staff was friendly. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was a glorified grilled ham and cheese that had the thinnest smallest piece of meat you could fine on it and then grilled cheese. It had zero flavor and was $12.00!!!!. I’m pretty sure I would’ve been better off going to the high school cafeteria and getting lunch. And then to top it all off the only chips offered or tortilla chips and they have no salsa??? so what’s the point?AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!
Loved the truffle eggs! Home made bread for the toast and wonderful locally sourced jelly.
We used to come here when it was the Evergreen Cafe it has been updated and there's a new menu I had the grilled cheese and it was delicious. The Waitresses are very friendly.
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend the bagels and the fresh bread. The food came out very quickly after we order. It was so good we went back the following day!
Great tasting, flavorful food and excellent service as well (which can be hard to find in a mountain town...). Old school cafe-style counter to sit at as well which lends to the homeyness of the place. Not a ton of parking but worth finding a spot.
Almost as great as Frisco location. No alcohol yet, but food not bad. Ordered over medium eggs and came out over easy and not fully cooked. However, homemade bread in house is divine.
Buena vista is hands down the BEST breakfast spot!! Love the staff and food is amazing.. the roasted apple french toast and avocatini sandwich are my favorite.
Such a nice addition to BV !!!!!Loved my beet and veggie hash. Eggs were cooked perfectly. It came with a yummy pesto and goat cheese with an English muffin.
Yum! New breakfast spot in Buena Vista. Huevos rancheros and burrito were really good. We’ll be back.
We frequent Buena Vista and like to try new places when we go. We saw the pictures and reviews on Google and thought we'd give it a go. When we arrived, staff seemed super nice and accommodating. We asked questions about the menu and then placed our order. We didn't wait long for our food... when we got our food, we were shocked. $11 for a Monte Christo that was a slice of ham and a piece of cheese Grilled between 2 slices of bread? No sides. And the salad that came with my pesto Chicken Sandwich ($16) was covered in cheese... like more cheese than salad greens. As I was investigating, I found rotten slimy bits all throughout the salad. The server asked if I would rather have corn chips, which I declined...so she brought out another salad. Before she even left the table I looked through the new salad only to find the same grotesque slimy rotten bits.... she kept trying to say it just got too hot. But there was mold on some of it. Then we realized that the same salad greens were on our sandwiches...it was all rancid. We paid for our entire meal, but not before the waitress was completely rude to my husband and making excuses for their rotting garbage that was well overpriced... saying we had an attitude. I don't know too many folks that would gladly pay that much for food that should have been in the garbage. I know this is a mountain town... and I know it's harder to get fresh foods... but if it's bad, it shouldn't be served. I usually don't leave bad reviews... but we visited this place based on their Google review... so I thought others ought to know our experience. We will never be back and we definitely do not recommend. We can say that one place in town that is always fresh and delicious is Casa De Sanchez down the road. Or Sweety's in Salida. Service is way better at those places as well.
Great quality ingredients and bomb food. So happy to have another breakfast spot in BV
Breakfast was bland. Had the huevos rancheros. The red Chile was like watery ketchup. No spice at all. Hash Browns undercooked and unseasoned. Hardly any beans. Was expecting more.
Great food with fresh ingredients. Staff is super friendly
I'm glad something opened where my favorite brunch spot was for years. Food was tasty though a tad more expensive than previous restaurant on the premises. Our server was attentive.
What a hidden treasure of a place! We found it through speaking with locals who gave us the breakfast recommendation. This was such a delicious breakfast. I had the Avocatini which was basically a giant vegetarian avocado egg sandwich with their homemade bread, veggies and pesto. It was a vegetarian’s dream! My fiancé ordered the eggs, bacon, hash browns breakfast and it was much better than your typical diner food. The bacon was really nice and thick and he said the eggs were delicious. We will definitely be back here the next time we are in Buena Vista! Keep up the great work guys!
