Great food! Because most who go here are probably passing through Buena, I highly recommend this place as a stop. We mostly went for the chicken sandwichs and soup combos off the menu. The dinner entree all looked great by other patrons.Place seems like a local favorite. Indoor and outdoor seating. They have a beers on tap and some limited wines. Food was cooked perfectly and definitely satisfying without breaking the bank.
Wonderful spot in downtown BV with freshly prepared soups, salads, and sandwiches. I enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich with the chicken salad prepared with very little mayo which makes the rest of the ingredients shine. The carrot ginger soup, (perfect for the fall day it was) had just the right balance of spicy ginger and sweet carrot. Decent choice of wines and beers as well.
Ambiance 5/5Food 5/5We were on our way to Colorado Springs but stopped over night in Buena vista. We thought of having dinner in a comfortable place. Google recommended this place and bouy it was amazing. My order is as shown in pictures: chicken sandwich with pretzel bun and cheddar broccoli ? on the side. Vegetarian cheddar penne with side of pretzel ? bun.Ambiance is the first thing that pops out in this place. It is well structured. It’s a shop slash food spot but when we were here in the night 8PM, it was restaurant only. We took a long time to decide our order but people at the reception were so patiently waiting and suggestive. Everyone in this place greeted us with a smile. No complaints for customer service. They followed all the covid guidelines. Restrooms are clean.Sandwich and soup was super good. After hiking for miles, this was well deserved dinner for us. I would highly recommend the sandwich. Penne was amazing as well. Do not get cheddar broccoli with penne as both will taste the same. Penne by itself is amazing and doesn’t need anything on the side. Owner came and asked how the food was and allowed me to take pictures of the place.
We loved this place so much we came back twice! Super clean, excellent food and friendly people. Jacinda was so nice and suggested great dishes. Take her recommendations! The head chef was out cleaning tables and taking care of guests. Anyone who has worked in food service knows that rarely ever happens. It was wonderful!
Good coffee and fresh sandwiches including my Elk burger that was very tasty. Have free wifi. Also have some delicious pastries. Great place to have lunch or dinner or just coffee and desert. Enjoy ?
What a delicious experience! I had the perfectly cooked and seasoned elk burger on a tasty fresh pretzel bun and garden greens with the slaw. Yes, I had the girlie locally brewed raspberry wheat ale - it was crisp and like with a hint of raspberry- not overwhelming - perfect! Great, healthy, fresh menu
Delicious and great vibe. Quick to get food out. The fish was amazing. Love the bakery treats. Outdoor seating is wonderful for the pandemic and our crazy kids.
Tasty food. Friendly service. Great place. I always stop here for food when I’m in town.
This is a great spot for healthy, locally sourced food. The soups and salad are delicious. Little wait time and excellent service. Outdoor seating was lovely on a Sunday afternoon.
This was a great find! The line to order appeared a little long but it moved fast and the staff was great. Really nice outdoor seating area and the food was fantastic. Very comfortable place and a really enjoyable experience all the way around.
Both the tomato bisque and carrot coconut soups were incredibly tasty. The chicken salad sandwich is pretty good also.
Angus Beef Stroganoff was delicious and an ample serving, although only the tip was medium rare. We couldn't quite identify all the spices in it, very earthy, lots of mushrooms. They separated the dollop of sour cream on top for mixing in with each bite, which was very nice. The carrot ginger soup tasted homemade, was thick and flavorful. The curry was mild, not spicy at all. I'd like more almonds on top, especially if it was a vegetarian meal, or ability to add extra would be good because they were an excellent addition! Fresh bread daily, preferred the marbled rye of the two given with our meals. Also had a house made lemonade, only wish there was less ice in my to go cup. Appreciated the paper to go containers for both meals, and recyclable cups. Health conscious spot, we'll return. $20/pp including a 20% tip.
Went for Anniversary dinner with my wife. Bread sampler Appetizer was great, beer was inexpensive and quality. Entree got messed up by the kitchen. Like, way WAY messed up. HOWEVER--shift manager James, when alerted to the mistake, made appropriate apologies, and far more importantly *asked how to make it right*. Wife and I answered, and James made it happen at speed. In the end, happy customers and we will be returning. James single-handedly saved the day and the food was fantastic. You want the chocolate brownie. No really. You want it. Trust me.
I was surprised to walk in and find a line, and waited there to order dinner at a counter instead of having a server come to the table. But then we took seats on the most lovely, perfect patio, the food arrived quickly, and it was fantastic! Who cared that we stood in line a few minutes to order!! I got carrot coconut curry soup and cheddar penne combo. My partner had the rainbow trout (with delicious roasted vegetables). We each got a piece of focaccia bread. Each item was just great! I can’t stop talking about that meal!
Great staff, amazing food and the outside area is such a peaceful environment. We got the Bison Ravioli, a simple salad and the bread sampler (the sampler is free when you check in with Yelp). Everything was fresh and the bread sampler platter is huge! I wish they would serve it with a bit of butter as well.
