The food is always excellent and the atmosphere "festive". Years ago was going to overcrowded Los Dos Potrillos down the street and had to suffer through long waits in an overcrowded space for decent Mexican. This. Is. Better.Update: We've been coming here for years now and somehow this place gets better and better! They've expanded the menu with some fantastic items (try the grilled Trout and Shrimp) while continuing to have best and most authentic Mexican food in town. The owner cares so much about his restaurant and it shows in the carefully crafted dishes and happy employees.

I wish I had found this plane earlier. Huge portions. It was two meals for me. Flavor was awesome and the staff were so engaging and friendly. Sadly I was only in Colorado for a short time and could eat here only once.A must try for authentic Mexican dishes.

My husband and I love this place! It’s just around the corner from our apartment and the service/food is always fantastic. Give them a try if you are around the area!

It's such a great place! The margaritas were yummy, and I got the chicken burrito, and my husband got a combo, and it was delicious. We ended with churros. If you want real Mexican food, this is the spot!

This is the best mexican restaurant we have found in the Denver areaWe moved from Washington DC to Denver 10 years ago and expected to find great Mexican restaurants here like we found in DC with its many international favorites. But after experiencing many good mexican restaurants here, we had not found a great mexican restaurant. Until today.El Karajo is fabulous. My wife, the foodie was also equally impressed.Food quality was great. She had a Veggie Buritto and I had the amazing Fajitas Chimichanga. The La Karaja Magaritta was also very good. The chips were light and queso the right amount of slightly spicey.Great atmosphere, service, and food quality. You will not leave hungry and your senses will be delighted. We will come back even if it is a 30 minute drive from downtown.

Such a pleasant dining experience. It was busy when we came, but they seated us so quickly and the service was fast and helpful. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good authentic Mexican meal!

Terrific atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Reminds me of places I frequented when I lived in Southern California. I had three enchiladas with different sauces. All three were great. Will go back on my next trip to Denver!

We have been coming here for a long time and most likely will not be back for a while. We have never been disappointed, but the last couple times it’s not been up to par. Tonight the refried beans were definitely burnt, they should not have been served. The service was terrible! Our waiter brought our food and NEVER returned. We had to flag someone down for more water, our check,Containers for left overs. Not once did he return to see if we needed anything. Another drink, dessert, how is everything!Once food was delivered we were ignored. When we finally got our check (after waiting 20 min for it ), which we had requested separate ones, it came as one. Asked again for it to separate, did not happen. No one came back to take our check so finally went up and paid. When asked how we were. How were things - we explained not being happy and weren’t really satisfied and got a somewhat snarky response. The food was good, the service was horrible! Horrible! Left a bad taste in our mouths. If I could negative star for service I would ??????
