We recently visited Barnwood, which now only offers appetizers. It used to be our preferred nicer restaurant in Great Wolf, but unfortunately, it didn't quite work out for our family this time. They do have a friendly host and a bar, which adds to the atmosphere. However, with limited options, it wasn't the best fit for our family’s needs. We appreciate the service and hope they might expand their menu again in the future.
We decided to dine in during our stay at GWL instead of taking our young kids out into the cold. The staff were friendly but un attentive. We ordered the two meat meal with smoked brisket and pork. The beef was dry and salty but otherwise had decent flavor. The pork on the other hand was inedible. It had no flavor and looked like it was scooped up with an ice cream scoop.The sides of macaroni and cheese and coleslaw were tasty. And for dessert we both ordered the brownie...
Our server on Saturday night saved the night with his great service and friendliness. He was great to chat with and interact with. but other than that this is just an ok place. They didn’t have a gluten free menu and didn’t seem very knowledgeable. I ordered the brisket and while very tender and flavorful, it was very fatty. The bbq sauce was great and so were the fries. Drinks were good but the bartender didn’t seem happy to be there and we encountered her at another location...
