The absolute best service by far of anywhere. The food is amazing. The experience literally makes you feel like family. 10 of 10. The best.

this was good years ago. just tried to order online and their site is insecure? so don't ever use the 'preferred host site". there is no security, and your credit card could be stolen by anyone. who runs a business with an unsecured web hosting? my last visit I noticed the person handling my food with their fingers then touch the phone and register with same hands. my food was boiled and flavorless. there was a lack of meat but tons of vegies and reheated riced that was old. not recommended anymore. should be reported to health department!

Nice dine in area. Food was better than average Chinese restaurant. Crispy duck had a salty crunchy skin and the sauce complimented it well. Great atmosphere for date or somewhat formal dinner. Portions were very shareable. White rice was not my favorite though.

We just moved here from another part of Denver. It's Valentine's Day and my wife loves Chinese food. We ordered the vegetable low mien, sesame chicken, egg rolls and wontons.Delivery was really fast. To the point where it made me question why the food wasn't pipping hot. The wontons were flavorless, as were the eggrolls. The eggrolls were so close to burned that I'm tempted to call them that... They were definitely overdone. The low mien was awful. I've been to many Asian restaurants all over the Denver area, this was easily the worst low mien I've had that didn't come from a buffet. The sesame chicken was... passable. If the rest of the food weren't so bad, I'd say it was sub par. Frankly I was just happy I could mildly enjoy $15 of the $50 we just spent.Burned chicken. Burned wontons. Burned eggrolls. Flavorless low mien that was super stingy on the vegetables... I dunno, this was a SERIOUS disappointment.Again, since the food wasn't hot, it's entirely possible they just keep their mainstay foods under a heat lamp. We won't be dining here again. Se la vi -- try another restaurant!

Large space with a traditional Chinese restaurant feel. Not dim lighting like some. Good environment. Good service ... quick and friendly. Food is fantastic. Tasty and just right flavor..

I absolutely love ordering takeout out or delivery from this spot! Their food is not high in sodium but has great flavor. They are super nice and helpful if you have any questions about the menu. Free delivery if you are within a certain radius and only $6 if outside of that. My personal favorites are their vegetable fried rice, lo mien with beef, orange chicken which is actually spicy and amazing, and my most favorite honey walnut shrimp. It's a casual dinning spot if you choose to eat at the restaurant. No frills kinda place but lovely people.

Upon entering Golden Shanghai on Saturday, 13th of January, my take out of Moo Goo Gai Pan and Corn & Bacon Wontons was not ready. Surprising as I had received a confirmation email. Unfortunately, an inept employee took over. She asked the same questions over and over again with no resolution. Finally, I inquired as to what could be the next step. To pay for the meal again. What the heck? I had my debit card memorized but she would not accept it. And her excuse made no sense whatsoever. She repeatedly said that I was wrong. So, it was time for me to leave. A male customer - who seemed to have a crush - kept defending her unacceptable behavior. This establishment's Manager needs to be aware a particular employee has somehow remained in their employ. If a regular customer is treated so poorly, what about new customers?

My wife and daughter ordered take out on Christmas Day - sesame chicken, kung pao chicken, egg drop soup and fried rice. It just didn't taste that good, plus they raised the price for Christmas Day. I don't think we'll be going back.

I had the hunan beef and my girlfriend had the snap pea with shrimp. Everything about this place I liked which is rare. The sides were great, the entrees were great, the atmosphere was great, service was great! I am definitely going to try it again. So far it has made the top of my favorite traditional Chinese food restaurant list that is Affordable. 2024 update... not so affordable for what you get. We would love to go but for 80 90 for 2 people w tip.... We go other places. Not gonna take a star for that.

The lo mein and chow mein had literally 0 flavor. I don’t think I have ever had anything more bland in my entire life. NASA developed better tasting food paste for astronauts to eat in zero gravity than the food at golden shanghai. Time to go back to the drawing board and find some new recipes… maybe try adding salt.

This is an excellent Chinese restaurant. They serve "American Chinese Food" and "Chinese Chinese Food". There are separate menus (both include English language descriptions). The Spicy Range Chicken is a cold appetizer on the Chinese Chinese menu. It was delicious. Seasonal Chinese vegetables were very good too. Moo Shu chicken from American side was tasty. The service was very good. Friendly, informative, helpful. Not pushy or abrupt. Items like white rice and tea were made perfectly. There is also a full bar. If you really like Chinese food, this place is worth a trip.,

I used to go to Golden Shanghai, and enjoyed the food, but haven't eaten there for a few years. Went in yesterday to get some Sizzling Rice Soup, which I remembered liking before. The soup was literally water with the slightest bit of flavor (I had to concentrate hard to taste anything). There were about 4 small pieces of chicken in it, but no other meat. Sizzling Rice Soup usually has a variety of meat and seafood. It was a complete waste of time and money, as it was so bad that I threw it away. I think that maybe the restaurant has changed hands, because there were several people wearing fancy uniforms running around shouting at each other, and I didn't recognize the uniforms or any of the people. Very, very disappointing! I will not be going there again.
