Admittedly a bit pricey - hence the 4 stars, but likely you won't find much cheaper anywhere either. If you're wanting a lobster roll being in landlocked CO, this plane is pretty good. Service was quite fast food the Lobster, not sure if fried stuff is slower.

My bf and I have ordered lobster rolls from here a few times , they're never skimpy on lobster meat ! It comes bagged up and buttery so your roll doesn't get soggy ! My boyfriend and I will happily continue to order , it's our new guilty pleasure . My boyfriend also really liked the clam chowder !!

The Maine Shack is a great spot to grab a hot or cold lobster roll. I would also recommend the Haddock Sandwich and chips too. It had a light, crispy batter, and the fish was so delicious. Tasted almost fresh from the ocean. I would know since I'm a transplant from the East Coast. The lobster roll was heavenly. Definitely come check this place out!

Absolutely excellent lobster rolls, some of the best you will find in the country. Coleslaw is forgettable and so are most of the other dishes, but order the Trio and be more than satisfied.

Never have I been so excited to drop a wad, filling my cravings!Due to disability & low income, I happily spent 6 months saving for my amazing New England treat..What a crushing disappointment! :'(While the employees are actually wicked awesome ;), the food was pretty darn awful.I ordered whole belly clams. $50 worth.Aside from most being just pieces, that wasn't my big problem. They tasted terrible! So bad, I was even forced to throw many away, as I could not keep choking them down.Having never met a clam I didn't love, these were salty & way over seasoned, apparently with old bay. I asked if they could cook me some (they were cooked well) with a plain batter/breading, I was told that was impossible..After scouring the web for recipes, only one had any old bay, but only a hint.Aside from fried clams, I also tried the chowder. While not as bad, it wasn't good. Again, very overseasoned in an extremely untraditional way. While edible, it was not enjoyable. Nowhere are the clams sweet, yummy goodness allowed to shine through. Truly a shame. Finally, having gone during happy hour, I was excited to order a couple lobster tails. Luckily for me, they were out. Initially disappointed, it eventually occurred to me that these would probably be a let down as well.. I was right.Til then it hadn't occurred to me to ask a critical question, one I assumed I already knew the answer too - "are the lobster tails fresh"? Of course, I was informed that no, they are frozen!! As any true lobster connoisseur can tell you, there is no comparison. Freezing lobster robs it of it's natural sweetness & yummy succulents.I may return sometime & try a lobster roll, if they confirm nothing is added seasoning wise. Apparently this lobster (claw & knuckle) is fresh; or so they say! Chances are, when I save the money again, I'll just buy a big fresh lobster & steam it myself. It would actually be much cheaper in the end & for sure more satisfying.Honestly, I am truly blown away that so many people like the food here. But if you look at the other negative reviews, they'll read like mine.I couldn't have wanted to love this place any more; but other than the people working there, I can't find anything good to say. This is no Maine shack. If you're a connoisseur from New England, my best advice to you is simple.. Save your money!!Oh wait, there was something good.. Both the coleslaw & french fries were above average & actually delicious. There ya go! :)

I’ve been here a dozen times and while they are fairly expensive, this is Denver and not New England so I get it. The north shore beef sandwiches there have always been really good, however, we ordered online for pickup and it was a completely different sandwich than what we would have eating there. The meat is supposed to be “rare” but it was definitely overdone with a greyish brown color and super chewy, like it had been made several days ago and was just sitting under a warming light. If I hadn’t drove home to eat it I definitely would’ve returned that pathetic attempt at a NSRB, you guys should be ashamed to serve something so bad.
Ordered a lobster and grilled cheese when it arrived I only had a grilled cheese no lobster at all very disappointed. Guess they like to rip off their online customers, easy way to make money and rip off your

Don't go!Ordered two $35 combo meals with Connecticut lobster roll, w clam chowder soup, one had slaw the other fries. Does NOT come with a drink.Fries are great. Same with the slaw.Chowder contained lots of cubed potato. The roll was hideous. SHOULD have immediately returned it but tried eating the chewy, stringy, room temp (didn't taste the butter) lobster. Worst I've ever had. It was Sunday 1/21/24 just after 12pm.Atmosphere: a table for 4-6 at downstairs entrance few more tables upstairs cramped. Not what we were hoping for after seeing such great reviews.

Unfortunately the food didn’t display as beautiful as the pictures showed in the previous reviews, the lack of seasoning and ingredients made our food bland. The fresh herb toppings were not at all included. The portions were small, not as nice as previous months, but the Carolina was strange, almost tastes freezer burnt? The service was good, and the views were nice, also nice location to downtown and I -25.
