The Kitchen American Bistro stands as a testament to the art of American cooking, redefined with a contemporary verve. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a sanctuary where the sanctity of good food is celebrated with a near-religious zeal, a place where each dish tells a story, each flavor a verse in a larger culinary hymn. The Kitchen American Bistro, with its unpretentious charm and understated elegance, invites diners to partake in a culinary narrative that’s both familiar and refreshingly innovative. The menu, an ode to American cuisine, is infused with a creative spirit that respects the ingredients’ integrity while elevating them to new heights. It’s a place where the humble and the haute coalesce, creating a dining experience that’s both grounding and transcendent.Take, for example, their take on the classic roast chicken. Here, it’s not just a dish; it’s a revelation. The skin, crisped to perfection, encases meat so tender and flavorful, it could very well be the poultry’s platonic ideal. Accompanied by a medley of seasonal vegetables, each bite is a celebration of farm-to-table philosophy, a reminder of the simple beauty inherent in well-sourced ingredients treated with respect and expertise. The Kitchen American Bistro’s commitment to sustainability isn’t just a talking point; it’s palpable in every dish, every decision, every detail. This ethos, coupled with the kitchen’s culinary acumen, creates a dining experience that’s not only delightful but deeply meaningful.Service here is not an afterthought; it’s an integral part of the restaurant’s charm. The staff navigates the dining space with an effortless grace, their knowledge of the menu and the stories behind the dishes adding layers to an already rich dining experience. Their attentiveness isn’t just professional; it’s personal, creating a connection that extends beyond the mere transactional. In a city brimming with culinary destinations, The Kitchen American Bistro distinguishes itself not just through its food but through its philosophy. Dining here isn’t merely about satiating hunger; it’s about participating in a dialogue with the ingredients, the chefs, the community. It’s a place that challenges and delights, that reminds us of the power of a well-cooked meal to inspire, to connect, to elevate. So, if you find yourself wandering the streets of Denver, in search of not just a meal but an experience, The Kitchen American Bistro awaits. Here, within its welcoming walls, you’ll find more than just food; you’ll discover a celebration of culinary artistry, a homage to the ingredients, and a toast to the city itself.

Service was very slow, but it was quickly made up for by the delicious food. The only item ordered by my large group that was undrinkable was the bloody Mary. The farmhouse was perfect. The sourdough breed was fantastic.

Stephane provided us with the best service my wife and I have ever experienced. We ordered the Cubano and the Halal. Both meals were wonderful. The frites were fried to perfection. The Kitchen used whole ground mustard on the Cubano which really took it to the next level. For the Halal, the naan was very soft and spices were so flavorful but not overwhelming. We will definitely be back and we will be requesting Stephane by name. Thank you so much for the amazing service Stephane!

We had a fantastic evening at the Kitchen--both the ambiance and the food were perfect, and our lovely server, Juliana, made the evening even more special with her culinary expertise and attentiveness. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an upscale night out in downtown Denver!

Amy was amazing and talked to us about both the cocktails she designed. Both were delicious (captains drink and bourbon for apples). The captains drink was my partners favorite.

Rabbit tasted like it had been in the freezer/fridge a while. The pasta must have gone on the plate wet because the water diluted the sauce. Poorly executed for a $35 plate of noodles. Garlic fries, drinks, carrots were delicious! My companions seemed pleased with their entrees. Steaks/chops must be the way to go here. Server was outstanding.

I'm giving this place 2 stars as I went there with a friend on a Wednesday night at 9:30pm. The restaurant was pretty full and we wanted to sit at the bar for a drink and appetizers. The host told us he needed to check if they're still seating people, came back and said they weren't and turned us away.Given the fact that most tables were still occupied and people were still eating and drinking, this felt odd.Bad business practices

Our group had a wonderful time last week at your venue! The servers were incredibly helpful and kind, the food was delicious, and the restaurant's ambiance was fantastic. The Sales Manager, Sammy, was also wonderful to work with on coordinating all of the details in advance for our large group dinner. We will absolutely be back again in the future!

Delicious cocktails. Fantastically kind staff. Amy was amazing and talked to us about both the cocktails she designed. Both were delicious (captains drink and bourbon for apples). The captains drink was my partners favorite and my favorite was the bee s-kneez. Can’t wait to come back and try the food!

We ate here on a Sunday after a day of traveling. There was 7 of us and we ate family style. The staff were friendly and politely took our coats as we walked in. The waitress was attentive and the service was quick but not rushed which was great. We ordered the rabbit pappardelle which was 5 out of 5 for quality and price. The bone marrow which was a 5 in taste and presentation but a 3 in cost. The broccolini was absolutely delicious definitely a 5 out of 5. The carrots were another tasty treat 5 out of 5. The French fries were delectable and a 5 out of 5. Then we got the Denver steak which was absolutely atrocious. It was either rancid or soaked in fish sauce. There was 7 of was and we were all disgusted by it. The waitress took it off the bill no questions asked. The steak was easily a 0 out of 5. The kitchen would have been a 4 star place between quality and price, if it wasn’t for the rancid steak. The cocktails were good 4 out of 5 taste and price.
