Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar

Started going here when it first opened 3 years ago and it was amazing, excellent service and delicious food, but over the years coming back during our vacation it has declined steadily, from missing ingredient in meals to no domestic beer on draft, service has got slow and not very attentive, refills are a bonus!! When my meal came out cold I sent it back and the manager came over and asked if I wanted something else! No the same meal but hot, when when the check came they had charged me twice for the meal then removed the additional meal as a comp as if the were doing you a favour, this coupled with the fact of no draft beer made for a disappointing visit! Have sent email to customer service but yet to get an acknowledgement or reply, won’t be going back any time soon.

I had a wonderful lunch at the Naperville location served by Heidi. She was so friendly, helpful and made our lunch enjoyable.

I called to place a pick-up order. I first talked to an automated machine which asked multiple questions, including a confirmation of my selections before putting me on hold until a representative was available. This minor inconvenience was only the beginning...

After finally getting someone on the phone, I was well into placing my order with the staff but, when requesting no butter on the steak because my wife is lactose-free, the staff had to confirm this could be done by the kitchen. I was on hold for about 3 minutes when a different staff person picked up asking if I'd like to place an order. After explaining I had already started an order and that they were checking on a request with the kitchen, I was again placed on hold. Over 5 minutes went by for yet another staff person to answer (now the third person I've spoken to). Without allowing me to explain that I had started an order having given my contact info and placimg several items, she continued to interrupt with info on how to place my order online. Once I was able to explain the situation, she recollected my info. I asked if my started order came up so that we didn't have to start over but she rudely dismissed this question saying that no one here has started an order over the phone. At this point, having already sunk over 15 minutes into this and now needing to start over, I said I would order elsewhere. If their service is this disorganized and poor, I am relieved I didn't eat here. Worst service I've had in a long time.

There was a mix up with servers at our table so we went to eat at the bar. Management and the bar staff were nothing short of amazing.

Placed an order for delivery at 940pm. Got a text saying it's confirmed and will arrive at 1020. Get another text saying it will arrive at 1001. Called the restaurant at 1030 to cancel the order. They said they would call door dash and cancel it. Never trying this place again for an order and never using anywhere that uses door dash. If you can't pick up the phone within 5 rings, you shouldn't be in business. Terrible experience from start to finish

This place is absolutely fantastic! The fire cracker shrimp is off the freaking chains! Nathaniel, McGregor, and Bailey are the best servers on this planet! They always take such good care of me and my friends. Management is fantabulous!! GO HERE!
