Whenever I’m craving authentic Caribbean cuisine there is none better than island woman shanty. We had a party with a couple dozen friends and everything was delivered right to my door, right on time. Folks were blown away by the meat patties and the chicken curry. It was gone so fast couldn’t even take pictures. Can’t wait for the food truck!

Absolutely Phenomenal! I've been missing good Caribbean food for many years, and was excited to try this - and not disappointed! Everything is home-made and delicious, and well worth a try. I had the curry chicken this time - the chicken was falling off the bone, and I couldn't stop dipping everything possible into the sauce. And the plantains... yum!! Definitely a must-try.

I couldn't wait for this place to open and once it did I have been returning as often as possible for both the flavorful food and the awesome customer service. Today I got the Chicken curry stew and the meat falls right off the bone. Anytime I have had a meal from here the portions are generous and it takes a couple meals to finish. I've never been disappointed and encourage the community to support this business. Also, bonus for supporting local entrepreneurs by hosting patio dance classes. Thank you Modah Naycha!

I love this place. So friendly and the food is delicious! The raisin bread is the perfect sweetness. Oxtail is fall off the bone. I have had her red snapper and mac and cheese, all delicious. And plantains! Where else can you get plantains in Longmont!? Desserts are also fantastic. I have had her cookies and cakes and all are completely worth it.

When a friend of my wife’s said she thought the jerk chicken was too spicy, I knew at that moment I had to try this place! The jerk chicken is awesome! Definitely on spot with the heat and flavor; I am all over that dish and routinely choose that. And then... I found out the chef was making beef patties!!! I had to try those also and, once I was finally able to grab a couple... well, I am hooked! They have a great, all around flavor that make them “every person” friendly! Naycha is so friendly and wants to please everyone, she is even willing to customize an item for you, if you give her advance notice! This place is staying on my goto list!! Love it!

I stopped in here yesterday to try some of the food. I ordered the Curry Chicken.The owner was very kind and helpful. The food was amazing, perfectly spiced and the chicken was very tender. Authentic. I also really enjoyed how the rice was prepared. I will definitely recommend this place to others and plan to return myself.

I am so excited to find this place in Longmont! My first time here I ordered the Jerk Chicken which has a nice spice level, but not crazy hot. You can definately taste a lot of thyme and other spices. On the side you can choose rice or mac and cheese...yum! Mac and cheese of course. And corn or mixed veges. Veges were perfectly steamed and a nice foil to the richness of the other items. It smells very good when you walk in...cant wait to try the beef patties (Fridays) and the goat curry and the salt cod with ackee and calaloo. I was also happy that the to go food was in a compostable container and they didn't force me to take a bunch of plastic bags a utensils home with me. They also sell Rastafarian style apparel with pot leaves on them as well as various other gift and fashion items.

Everything about this place is fantastic! The family is so nice and very helpful. They gave us samples of the different chicken to try. They were so good. We each ordered some chicken. My husband's favorite was the jerk chicken. My husband got corn and we both got mac and cheese. Words can't even describe how good this food is! We will be going back early next week to try the plantains, goat and ox trail. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant with amazing flavors!

This little spot is sooooooooooo amazing! Since it is a little bit of a different style than other restaurants in the area, they will give you samples to try but be warned it is hard to choose when everything tastes so delicious!! I had the Red Snapper with coconut lemon butter, rice with beans, veggies and sweet plantains and everything was amazing! I tasted the savory chicken, I think I will get it next time! I am planning future orders, that's how good it was ?The woman and her kids (I think) are incredibly nice and helpful. If you are thinking about trying it, you should go in... the smell alone had me hooked!!!

It's the best, most flavorful jerk chicken I've ever had. The owner deserves all of Colorado's love, she's doing us a major service by making a living out of her recipes here. Her restaurant is closed for now, but I was craving jerk chicken so bad that I looked her up on Facebook! She agreed to meet me and special cater a delicious jerk chicken plate on the house, just for me!
