My wife and I had the trout and the wahoo. The trout was filleted and cooked to perfection. The wahoo and sauce were delicious . The vegetable sides were not overcooked but retained heat and crispness. We had a Caesar salad that was flavorful and the lettuce was suitably crisp with a generous dressing serving. The dessert was the chocolate mousse dome and it was exquisite. Portions from salad through desert were ample. We are near food coma so we need to hit send asap but not before acknowledging our server Christopher who did everything right with good sense of humor. He was the consummate professional and among the best to ever serve us.

Mercedes, our server was the best part of our dinner at the Cliff house. Dinner was awful!!! Ordered the lobster bisque. The worst I have ever eaten. It was tomato red color and tasted just like tomato bisque with no seafood flavor at all, just 3small chunks of lobster on top as garnish. My husbands' onion soup was not hot. Although plenty of cheese atop,it did not throughly melt. Red Lobster makes a better entree than my scallop entree here. But, the worst entree by far was the duck. It was far from crispy skin and not rendered at all. Uneatable,we sent it back and waited, and waited for a substitution of the pork chop. We gave up waiting and left after paying the check for a most disappointing anniversary dinner ever. We enjoyed our desserts at Culver's on our way home.

Anniversary dinner was delicious and the service was great. We had the lamb and pasta with white wine sauce plus seared salmon. The seared salmon had a wonderful crisp side. I wish the small tables along the window were staggered a bit instead of in a row. They are close together so it felt like we were dining with all our table neighbors.

My wife and I had dinner at the Cliff House Dining Room. Service was amazing. Seating and environment was very elegant. Food was mediocre. my wife had the trout which was presented well but bland. I had the fillet mignon which was in a super salty sauce which I was unable to finish. Overall, the experience was above average.

We had lunch here and liked the dining room layout and atmosphere. The service was perfect but the food was a little odd. The shrimp starter needed to be served with a spoon not a fork, and the Caeser salad could have been a little more interesting. The filet mignon was fine but the fries were a little overdone and not hot enough. The Crème Brule dessert, however, was great, and they have decent espresso coffee. All in all, a good experience.

We attended the Leap Day special wine dinner, and it was FABULOUS! I hope you do more events like this, it was so special. The food and wine pairings were absolutely delicious, even for a non-wine lover like my husband. We had a great time, the music was amazing, and the dinner was an incredible value.

We went to the Cliff House restaurant for a delayed Valentine's Day dinner. The restaurant was not particularly busy, although there was a group in the private dining room. Our server was a little slow in coming to us, but not terrible. She was nice and served us well and we enjoyed our interactions. Dinner took a long time to arrive, probably because there were only two servers. We had to inquire about the progresss of our meal. Just as we were finishing up, she came to our table, coat in hand, and told us she had been sent home. Then the manager showed up and affirmed that she was sent home because of an issue. My partner pressed him and was told that there was a problem between our server and the chef--and he felt disrespected. This is in the middle of the dinner hour on a Saturday night! This situation could have been handled so much better. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional, and the diners were left with much reduced staff. We likely will not go back--it is too expensive to be exposed to kitchen drama when you are just trying to enjoy a meal. The food, by the way, was just adequate.

Terribly overpriced for not tasty food.. disappointed & dissatisfied. Limited options were given for Valentines Meal which was NOT shown online. Complete surprise when we arrived for a pre selected course meal??

We went for Valentines and they set us up in a closed off room with about 10-12 other two person tables. The “piano” player was on an electric keyboard and when we arrived was playing “fiddler on the roof.” Not exactly the slow jazzy vibe you want on Valentines. Also was this nod to the value of the experience? If so, very funny. The food you ate was about a $90 value but you end up paying $175 before tip. Yes I know it's Valentines, piano player, special room, red lights shinning on the walls, special menu, etc. but the food should match. Excellent service and care put into the special event. I just expect better quality food than getting served a Rold Gold pretzel stick with a course and Hershey's chocolate syrup in the desert.

Lovely Victorian white-linen dining room with comfortable seating pleasingly distanced from other patrons' tables. Dinner was wonderful! Kudos to an innovative chef.
