After reading negative reviews - i felt compelled to leave a review . My wife and i were in town for a relatives funeral , and needed a distraction, so we went to Manitou Springs for a couple hours of wandering and shopping. We love jerky so it was an easy choice to visit the store. We were greeted by german shepard laying on the floor in the middle of the shop - PERFECT ! we love dogs ! Especially service animals. Visiting a friend in COS and we had the pleasure of getting to look around inside. The “shark” and “alligator” sign caught my eye. The woman running the shop was so welcoming and informative, and even gave us some samples to try! I ended up buying the sampled one- it was actually barbecued mushrooms but they were so tender and smoky. Will certainly be returning.

I don't understand the negative reviews. The gentleman that was in the shop with his dog was super nice. I asked to pet his dog and he happily let me do so and told us the dog's name.I bought dog jerky and the habanero tri-tip jerky. I can only speak for the tri-tip as I didn't consume the dog jerky lol but it was delicious. So moist and flavorful!I'm only in town for a week and am planning to go back again before I leave for more!
