This Baja Fish Tacos is excellent. Family owned and operated. Extremely clean and the Best Service I've ever found at an inexpensive restaurant. I Highly Recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely blown away. I went during lunch (12:30) and the place was packed. It was clean and cozy, full but not crazy. I ordered a blackened fish Baja Salad to go, filled up some salsa at the salsa bar, and sat at an empty table. While I was waiting with my stack of plastic salsa ramekins, a woman came out of nowhere with a paper bag, picked up my salsa and put them inside. After she flashed a smile and left, I took my food back to work and am now eating this delicious goodness. Holy mackerel, this place rules!!
Delicious food and it is ready fast- perfect place to go for my lunch hour.
Food is consistently great. A little on the pricey side, but the carne asada nachos are worth the subsequent food coma, which is saying something.
Delicious fish dishes, rice and beans and good salsa.

What a random place we decided to stop at on our way home from running errands. I've probably passed it a hundred times but never noticed it (although I don't know how I missed it with the cool graffiti/stickers all over the bldg.). Everything on the menu looked good I had the hardest time deciding. Finally settled on one of their more breakfasty items and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back to try more!!!
I've been eating here since I was 9. I moved to Arizona in 2004 and have been making my pilgrimage to this place at least once a month. I literally drive out just to eat here. If I'm willing to spend 200 dollars just to eat a 10 dollar burrito then you know it's amazing. There's nothing like it. I don't even like writing reviews but I finally pushed myself after the last visit. Superb. Nothing less. My favorite restaurant in the world and I've been places. Blackened chicken burrito or calamari tacos would be my suggestion
The tacos were good, but this review is more for the atmosphere and the tropical salmon dish. If you like salmon and a fruity creamy sauce over the top of it, they prepare an excellent version here. Unexpected at a taco place. The building, inside and out, is also pretty fun to observe.
Great little authentic taco place. The pork tacos are the best (Al Pastor). The pickled vegetables and homemade salsa (salsa and guacamole mix is my favorite) are a great finishing touch. I had a battered/fried fish taco, the Al Pastor, and a blackened chicken. All three tacos were made with delicious tortillas (I prefer their corn tortillas) and fresh ingredients. Of the three the blackened chicken was my least favorite - I thought it lacked flavor and the chicken was a bit dry. All in all through it was a great meal and I would def come back.
I keep coming back and I love it. Don't expect pristine decor but the food is. Fresh and much healthier than the pack.

It's not the best place in town... Breakfast burritos are good, but tacos and chicken burritos are a little below average. Best tip, order a quarter/half/whole garlic chicken. Simply the best item they have on menu.
Garlic garlic garlic and ask for a side of garlic! If you love garlic you'll love this chicken!
Great little hole in the wall spot where a lot of locals go. They only accept cards with charges over $5.
Best chicken in Newport Beach, fire roasted with generous slather of garlic and lemon.
If this place wasn't here I would have starved to death by now. Family owned and operated. Juan, Eddie, Oscar, the Salster and the rest of the gang will take great care of you. Best chicken in town. BOOM!

Our family loves coming here for good food. They provide good options for Gluten intolerance. The staff are always helpful and give great food advice. Better than some Mexican restaurants near by. Nice drink options too.
Mexican fusion, inventive menu items. The carnitas burrito is fantastic
Love this place. Great food....
High quality, fairly priced Mexican food. Great spot. Cozy, but perfect for a yummy bite
Hands down the best Mexican you will eat at a really good price. Wow

El Ranchito has been a go-to place for Mexican food for many years. It serves freshly made tortillas, good drinks, and good food in a friendly atmosphere. Updating... The quality has either gone down or yesterday was a bad day for them. Salsa was watered down (Had ice cubes in the overly large chunks of tomato and onion) and was bland and flavorless, as was the food. Had to ask for flour tortillas 3 times and finally got them after the waitress said they had already been delivered and then checked the container, which had their regular offering of corn, which she took back. Can't help but wonder if they were passed on to someone else. Noise levels are so high this is not s place to go for a family meal or if you want to talk to your companions. Too bad, it was so good for so long.
The go to place for authentic Mexican food in Orange County. Food comes out fast, servers are super attentive and friendly. We went here with 23 people and they were happy to cater to us all!
Cheap and delicious? That makes me a very happy man. Service was A+ too. Go for the Aztec burrito or something along those lines.
I've been coming here for than 20 years. I used to really enjoy it here but my last several visits have been less than great. Service has become mediocre and the food is average compared to the plethora of choices in OC... It will likely be my last visit...
Absolutely fantastic. Visited CA from AZ and this some of the best Mexican I've had. Green chile was perfect, and you must get the homemade flan. I will be back next visit to CA!
