Lousy place. Served a 500 ml bubbly pretending incase 750. Food was not enough. Cheated Brazilians of their money.

Me and I have my family have gone to the New Year’s party at the Portuguese cultural club in Danbury Connecticut numerous times but it seems like it gets worse every year. The tickets were $160 each (It wasn’t even worth $80 each)
Appetizers was the best part of party, Even though the lobsters were overcooked and could not get them out of the shell. The main course buffet was completely underwhelming. there was a tripe dish that was not cooked properly which cave off a Puget aroma .There Wasn’t any sucking pig and some of the other traditional Portuguese dishes that they usually have
There were two open bars with waiters posing as bartenders Which did not know how to make any mixed drinks.
Imagine that at a New Year’s Eve party.
The desserts were pitiful. They had two bowls of diced up fruit, a bunch of different cakes, and they attempted to make chocolate chip cookies which they burnt, and instead of throwing them out, they thought it was a good idea to put them on the Dessert table.
The management of the Portuguese cultural club in Danbury Connecticut should be ashamed of themselves. It seems like they try to cut every corner possible this year and it was quite clear.
It would be more beneficial for the Portuguese club to be more concerned about their image instead of making a quick buck on New Year’s Eve

Terrible service! We went with friends and family to celebrate, the drinks don't have a menu with prices, the servers don't know what to do, the cook is negligent, we won't ever go back!

What a frustrating experience. I took my parents and family to lunch on a Sunday, and the servers didn't have a menu with drink prices. We asked the cost of sparkling water and they said $6. In the end we were charged $24 for two waters. It took 1 hour and fifteen minutes to serve us, as there was no other table being served. If the restaurant had been full and had many tables to be served, it would have justified the delay. There was just a group of guys drinking and watching football. It's unfortunate, but we didn't pay tip because the service and delay in serving the dishes were inconvenient. Bad experience! I don't recommend it!

I don't have much reason to comment on this place, because I've only been invited to parties. But overall it seems fine to me

This was a great night out for me and my husband. The servers are super attentive and will get you whatever you need. The food was super tasty but the only draw back was the bones in the fish. Super old school way to serve fish, leaving in all the inedible pin bones. My husband was quite turned off at that point, but we got dessert and that helped.
