Been here many times. Decent food but the prices just went up sharply. Disappointed in the size of the meal. Too small a portion for the price.

Ordered two fried Whiting fish sandwiches, Buffalo wings and extra fries.Definitely not the place to go if you are looking for prompt, friendly service with a smile.1st This is a fish market, so there is ABSOLUTELY no reason for frozen instead of fresh fish to be served EVER. The taste was so bad I couldn't even continue eating after the second bite. Pray we don't get sick.2nd The fish were very thin 1/4" slices like they were pounded out.3rd There was no seasoning in sight on the fries or fish.However, the coleslaw and wing dings were horrible; although, I actually ordered Buffalo wings. So I was expecting a hot sauce coating not plain wings.

It was ok...i love clam chowder and this clam chowder tasted like clam chowder but was extremely watery and lacked any noticeable potatoes or clams.... I've had much better before. It'd be a toss up between this and a can of progressive clam chowder. Probably good clam chowder for people who don't know clam chowder. It is what it is.

This review is based on the quality of the food. We went today to the shack and was again extremely satisfied. Even with the changes because of COVID, the food is fantastic. Simple bowl of chowda and fried haddock with fries and slaw. Hot and delicious! Perfectly cooked with a thin, crispy batter surrounding a flaky, moist, tender piece of fish. This place is a diamond in the rough, and the atmosphere is exactly reminiscent of what I expect when I go to a crab shack in Narragansett, RI. Thanks to J's, I don't have to drive 2 hours, and you know what? The food is better! I don't know how they do it. I guess you just need great cooks and fresh seafood. J's has both!

Lobster roll was ok. I'm usually a huge fan of going light on the butter, but I could barely tell if there was any butter at all on it. Fries were good, bread was good, but if you're going to go with almost no butter on your hot "buttered" lobster roll, include a cup of butter on the side. That would have gone a long way to making this a better lobster roll. Staff was nice.

Went with a big party. Very underwhelmed the girls all had attitudes. The fish was not fresh very dirty table we cleaned ourselves. The clam chowder was very skimpy very little clams and the crackers where stale. Had someone with a shell fish allergy and the girl at the counter was not interested in listening to instructions. The coleslaw smelled funny. Never ever again. My family recommended but they themselves where embarrassed. Not like that before the pandemic.

It's been a while since I reviewed this place. Did not go here through the pandemic as they have no outside dining and fried seafood doesn't travel well. Now that it has reopened and we are vaccinated we have been back several times. It is still a great place to get super fresh fried seafood. We always get the haddock meal which is big enough for two.

Over cooked lobster, hard as a rock shell. Wrong order as well. Last visit there. Bummer, because we live down the street, we were hoping to like it.

I like this place, and the food is fantastic. The fires and the clams were golden brown and not greasy. You might need a 45 caliper pistol to go here after dark. I have seen people dumpster diving. I pack a 9 mm, so bring it on.

Crab shack at Parkville was big disappointment. Got Mac and cheese with lobster. Mac snd cheese was beyond dry and clumpy. Looked like it had been sitting on counter for an hour tasted it too. Cost was $11.95. Tasteless. Lobster was dry and tasteless as well. Been a fan of crab shack since Tinkers and it’s been steadily changing not for the better. Portions have definitely gotten smaller. Fries are good.Looking for a different, informal seafood restaurant.

I had a wonderful time treating my husband to his traditional fathers day meal. He ordered the captains platter and he loved everything on it.
