Decided to try for the first time after being in the area for several years and we were extremely disappointed. Ordered for delivery and not only did our food never arrive, we tried calling several times to have no one answer the phone. To answer Google, food was way overpriced as I was left quite hungry & the service was so terrible, they never even said a word to us. As for the atmosphere- they may have been lost in it. We won’t ever be trying here again and do not recommend.

Warm atmosphere with comfortable chairs and great lighting, Dishes according to their price, the calzone is large and you can add whatever you want, in terms of flavor they go overboard with the sauce, it was too much on each plate. The service was friendly although they were not attentive to the table, even though there were few tables (ask how everything is, if they want more water or so on). The price is reasonable.

Good Italian food with picata, francese, marsala, florentine, and saltimbocca as you would expect. Little bit of a diner vibe, but in a comfortable good way. 5 entrees, no apps or booze = $200 (20%). Will be back.

DiFrancos is a solid Italian restaurant located directly on the Litchfield green. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is good. I got the chicken saltimbocca and it was solid. The desserts were also good. The prices are fair for the quality of food provided. The waitstaff were friendly as well.

My colleagues and I recently came to Litchfield for a work conference. We decided to dine at DiFrancos's on our drive home, and boy, it was delicious!! We will be back next time we are in the Litchfield area!

This restaurant was fantastic. The service and staff was great and they made my family and I feel at home! We had a bit of everything on the menu and all of it was so very delicious! I got the Penne Ala Vodka as well as Pasta Fagioli - what wonderful flavors with tons of variety! I thoroughly recommend this place for all!

TLDR: The food is of good diner quality, but priced a tier higher. I'm constantly astonished at how Yelp manages to crowd source ratings and come up with something that exactly matches our experience. 3.5 stars is spot on. I'm rounding up to a four because it's a family run business that's trying. We were driving through town on an unfamiliar route. Instead of stopping in Kent for some tried and true favorites as we'd planned, we found ourselves in unfamiliar terrain and needed a pit stop for a late lunch that was also pup-friendly. We were drawn in by the fact that there's an outdoor patio out front where one can dine with pups. And we were *so excited* to stumble across the fresh herbs and tomatoes growing in a tiny strip of earth wedged between the restaurant and the driveway while we were waiting for our meal. Sadly, our dishes didn't actually incorporate any of the lovely fresh ingredients we saw. Almost all seafood on offer was breaded and deep fried, preparations I don't personally enjoy. The exception, shrimp Venezia ($18), was a small plate / starter with shrimp, spinach, red bell peppers, and sundried tomatoes. The dish as a whole was competent though excessively oily. The cobb salad special ($16) was probably the best menu item we tried, with traditional ingredients (romaine, bacon, blue cheese, black olives, egg, onion, and tomato -- not homegrown) and ripe avocado. A Greek salad ($14) was fine, a bit clunky and one note with huge, unidimensionally salty cubes of feta and huge hunks of red onion dominating the dish. If they'd just cut these a bit smaller... A steak sandwich with fried onions and mushrooms ($17) included a cut of tenderized meat -- perhaps cube steak -- rather than the thinly shaved beef we expected. It was a touch gristly and vinegary, which its primary intended consumer did not enjoy. (I did not find the vinegar objectionable personally.) The deep fried, white button mushrooms that came with were texturally enjoyable to me -- actually crisp on the outside -- but had been halved into enormous, difficult to eat pieces and under (not?) salted. Th staff seemed slightly indifferent at first -- interestingly, we didn't receive water until we asked -- but seemed to warm up a bit when I made a strong effort to engage. A middle school aged person in the owner's family stared shamelessly at us through the window for a long time, which was a touch uncomfortable, but I waved at them and smiled and continued chatting with my daughter. Eventually they lost interest. I remembering doing this kind of thing when I was a kid. Karma, I guess!!! This is the kind of place and family I find interesting and, if I lived closer, would come every week just to get to know this interesting cast of humans. There are very positive reviews for the pizza so perhaps we ordered badly. Based on our one meal, the takeaway impression was that the food was spendy for the quality and quantity. Better luck next time.

It was really slow for the number of people working there. It was the height of lunch hour and not busy. We waited quite a while for a burger and shrimp cocktail.

Casual little family restaurant with friendly service on the green in Litchfield. I always get pizza or calzone because they have a great crust and a tasty sauce. My husband ordered sptnikopta, and it was just OK. I like to stick to the comforting Italian dishes—they never disappoint. It’s fun to sit on the patio and people watch too!

I love DiFranco's and have been eating there since they were up next to the Courthouse. They make great soups and serve wonderful sandwiches and also dinners. I don't live in Litchfield any more so no longer eat here so often but since I was passing through, decided to stop in. I was planning on having a Reuben but a Chicken C aprice caught my eye and I changed my mind Oboy was that good, I'd order that again!

Outdoor dining patio, incredible wait service and delicious authentic Italian dining made our experience a delight, even for our pup who joined us under our table. She was given some water, which was sweet!
