My first and definitely will be only visit.
I had New England Clam Chowder, which was one of the best I've had to date.
The main course (Lobster Roll), however, left a lot to be desired.
The lobster was spongy and bereft of flavor - the definite signs of prolonged frozen. As for the dipping sauces: tomato ketchup, melted (and very bland) butter, and some sort of greenish goo - lordy,lordy! - say no more!

In my experience, Sarah (the host?), the New England Clam Chowder, and the atmosphere were the redeeming factors for this place.

My husband and I came to F&Co for an evening meal tonight! From the instant we entered, it was as if we were at home (if "home" were always filled with friendly, kind, pleasant people and delicious food) Everyone made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Our drinks, meals and dessert were all outstanding 🥰

GF options + gf buns/bread available. Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating of food sensitivities. The food was good and the staff was friendly, we will definitely be back.

Sat outside for a warm late summer's eve. Great bottle of wine, excellent food, close friends, wonderful desserts. Just perfect!

My first time at Friends & Co! Excellent service from Susie behind the bar! The food was absolutely delicious, the restaurant was tidy, minimal wait time for the drinks/ food. I ordered the chicken wrap- it did not disappoint! I had a magnificent time, definitely will be returning! Loved the pre-meal bread having two different base flavors, one sweet and one savory!! Unique. Many options on the menu to choose from, portions are beyond filling (in the best way) and everyone in my party enjoyed their meals! 10/10 experience.

The quality of the food here is good, but its menu is very limited; it takes years for them to add new items to it. Also, the interior has a lot of dark wood and it has poor lighting, which give the place a tired, dated feeling. Good luck finding a diner there without white hair or silver hair--the average age of the customer base must be about 78.

This restaurant used to have a delicious twist on a grilled cheese--it was made with goat cheese and pesto, but unfortunately, they have removed it from the menu. They only have one type of burger, which is really basic. Compared to burgers I've had at other restaurants in this area, Friends & Co.'s burger is just OK.

If you are in the mood for a burger, I would suggest instead trying Haywire Burger Bar in Westbrook, or Jack Rabbit's in Old Saybrook. Either place is worth the drive.

Such a wonderful find! Everything was fantastic—literally the best burger I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is also one of a kind. Don’t miss out!

Drinks and couple of appetizers, we sat outside. While we enjoyed our visit. The place could use a bit of power washing the deck wall. Some window boxes with plants would be a plus.

Nice little place. Good was surprisingly good. We are not from the area so it was a pleasant end to the day. They have in-house desserts which were an added treat. Staff was very friendly.
