Consiglio's is a top notch Italian restaurant in New Haven. Food is phenomenal, service is fantastic and an overall outstanding experience. I never eat the same entree when we go there! So many choices and such amazing specials. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Italian food and the staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in! We arrived at 4:30 and the place was empty but got busy quickly after so I would encourage a reservation. I love that each entree comes with a side salad to start cause most places don't do this. The chicken picatta was one of the best I've had and highly recommend starting with the Arancini it melts in your mouth! The fig cocktail is my favorite as well. Love this place!

Went to Consiglio’s for the first time on a Saturday night. It was very lively, and we had a reservation. Our table wasn’t ready yet, so we got drinks at the bar while we waited. The atmosphere is very homey and friendly. It is clearly a neighborhood joint, not exactly casual or too upscale.Everything we ate was flavorful and tasted very fresh. They had a good number of specials for the night as well! There were a lot of birthdays when we went, so when announcing a guest the restaurant would gather together and sing. I thought that was a nice gesture.Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a shot next time you are in New Haven! It is on the same street as the famous Frank Pepe’s and Sally’s Apizza.Parking: Across from the restaurant there is a free parking lot (2nd on the right)

My recent trip to Consiglio's was for a cooking demo/dinner. Everything was delicious, I learned some new cooking tips, service was spot on and in my opinion well worth it! I will return and highly recommend it!

Had the lentil soup and broccoli rabe and grilled sausage—Incredible. Dad had cavatelli and meatballs and said it was delicious. Boyfriend had pork chop with sweet potato mash and fig reduction. Awesome.

One of the specials on the menu was oysters Rockefeller, and it was excellent nice portion great taste, well done. The salad was fine. The bread was good but my entrée the cavatelli and basil was lackluster. The result was dry and not flavorful the cavatelli. it was gummy, and the red sauce was tasty and not one of my favorites.

Had a reservation. Had drinks and apps and was asked to move from my table to the bar to accommodate a large group before my entree arrived. Very difficult to have a 3 way conversation when you are sitting next To each other at the bar. I had cavatelli & meatballs. The meatballs were hard! Very disappointing For our inconvenience, We were given a free drink at the bar and we had a delicious tartuffo for dessert. We spent >$200 and I am not happy! Overall: disappointed

A truly pleasant experience. I spent 25 years of my life (more due to double shifts) in the restaurant trade, and I am hard to impress. The level of service in the business has plummeted, so to discover someone who still knows how to give good service is a real treat. Consiglios has an approachable unpretentious yet sophisticated approach to guest comfort. Our waiter, Sam (Samantha?) was a delight, and right on cue the whole evening. As an early table, we did not feel any pressure to leave as so often happens in other restaurants. It was a cheery and pleasant experience. The prices are reasonable for this level of quality. I am not a huge fan of red sauce and cheese, but this Italian menu was well executed and properly seasoned. I had the crispy cod special which was paired with contrasting flavors and textures to keep the meal from being boring. Expertly cooked!Well done, Consiglios, keep up the good work!

Our server James was awesome. Friendly and great service. Drinks were yummy and I always get the penne vodka which is amazing. Cozy atmosphere. Nice bar. Great restaurant for a nice night out!

Wonderful experience! Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend the fried burrata for an appetizer and the pappardelle with wild mushrooms in a truffle cream sauce for an entree.

Had a great meal and good experience. They offer a few gluten free pasta options which was a nice treat.Dietary restrictions: They cater to gluten free options. A few pasta subs (ravioli, pappardelle and linguine) allowed for many options. Server was well informed and was willing to to go into the kitchen to ask. Was a nice gluten free experience.

Server was great! The music was a bit loud- as other people were seated in the room- the noise in the room was distracting. Food was good. Fresh hot great flavors. We had the fried burrata-it had great taste, but I was hoping the burrata would be hot and melty inside the breading- it wasn't- it was barely room temp. My chicken Rosa- was fantastic. The grilled asparagus wrapped in prosciutto drizzled with balsamic-WOW great. Rib eye was cooked perrfectly great seasoning. Chocolate mouse cake was stunning in appearance and decadent.

I have never, not once, been disappointed here. The people are wonderful, the food is delicious and well-portioned, the whole experience feels like you are home eating with family. This is my all-time Wooster Street fav.
