So I went on a recommendation here not realizing that the main part of it was closed. I'm just figuring that out now. However, I walked in tonight after finding parking and taking 20 minutes to get to the location and once in the door, I was directed down to a beautiful lounge and bar area with the Dreamius music playing, and it was such an esoteric feeling to my experience there. However, that was stopped short when I sat down and reviewed the menu, four times, and then waited, then waited some more, I'm by myself, so I continue to wait. Then Inn walks three different sets of people, and the next thing I know the one bartender is making drinks for all of the different people who have showed up, but there's nobody servicing the actual lounge and people that are waiting for food and drinks. I promptly stood up, took my bag and walked out. I was really looking forward to trying their delicious vegetarian options and a martini for starters so I can't really say much about the food or the drink, but I can say I felt extremely neglected walking in the door as a first timer. I just want to state that I have edited my review and given them five stars, I heard from their manager, Megan and I truly appreciate the follow up and sweet invite to come back and try fire house 12. I'm here for another few days. I'm gonna give it a whirl again tonight it was actually a beautiful place so maybe I just came in at a really crazy time- thanks again!

Never went before the renovation, but now that it's open, it may be my favorite bar in New Haven. We went during cocktail week and the drinks were so unique and well made. Definitely the coolest venue in town, love the unique wooden ceiling. Great DH spinning real vinyl and an excellent taste in music. The food was excellent, which is hard to do with vegan food. Absolutely will be coming back again and again.

Title: A Memorable Culinary Journey at Firehouse 12Firehouse 12, nestled in the heart of New Haven, is nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. My recent visit to this remarkable establishment was marked by a cascade of flavors, immaculate service, and an atmosphere that merged elegance with a comforting familiarity. The food was a tour de force of creativity and craftsmanship, starting with the mushrooms. Their earthy, robust flavor was expertly accentuated with thoughtful seasoning and preparation techniques. Every bite was a testament to the chef's understanding of the ingredient, combining an array of textures that made each mouthful a pleasure to savor. The tofu dish was no less impressive. Tofu, often seen as a mere substitute, was championed here as a star in its own right. Its firm yet delicate texture paired excellently with the vibrant blend of flavors it was cooked in. This tofu dish was not just a culinary delight, it was also a statement that simple ingredients can indeed create extraordinary dishes when handled with mastery. As for the beverages, the mezcal I had was unbelievable. It had a smoky undertone that lingered at the back of your palate, adding a whole new layer of depth to the experience. The drink was well-balanced and complemented the dishes flawlessly, elevating the whole dining experience to a symphony of flavors.A highlight of the evening was the commendable service led by Ned, the bartender. His knowledge, professionalism, and warm demeanor added an extra touch of perfection to the evening. He ensured that the cocktails were mixed to perfection, and his ability to craft the mezcal into an unforgettable experience spoke volumes about his expertise. In conclusion, Firehouse 12 is a shining gem in New Haven's dining scene. It's a place where food is not just a meal but an experience, where service is not just a courtesy but a commitment. If you're in the city and looking for a memorable dining experience, make sure to make a reservation at Firehouse 12. Your taste buds will thank you.

I agree with the person bellow me. Best vegan food in New Haven hands down. I discovered them when they were just doing pickup and delivery but I can't wait to eventually try out the cocktails there once they reopen fully.Edit: I keep ordering from this place. How do they cook everything perfectly every time.

Look, if I own and run a studio here in CT, and I’m leaving another studio a five star review, what does that tell you? Great studio and great team!

This is definitely my favorite place to get vegan food in New Haven. The menu is small and simple and is constantly changing, with new sides and sandwiches being added every so often. Everything Mark makes tastes incredible, and it's all also super affordable! I love that the rotating menu often features locally grown produce as well. Try the fried potatoes, the impossible burger which is perfectly seasoned every time, and the fried tofu sandwich (if they bring it back...Mark, if you see this, PLEASE BRING BACK THE FRIED TOFU! It is my favorite!) You won't be disappointed!!!

The food here is entirely vegan and I can say confidently that this is the best vegan food I’ve had in New Haven. I have had some really amazing vegan food in other cities and have been overall very disappointed with the vegan food that’s in New Haven but this place is the unsung hero. It gives me hope that there is good vegan food in the city. I had the impossible burger, potatoes and spinach. The food was flavorful and you can tell that the chef puts a lot of time into creating the menu options. I would love to come into the bar and sit down and eat. The indoor seating area is closed but you can order to go and I will definitely be ordering again.

I don't know how they get the potatoes so crispy, but even with the sauce and packaged to go they stay super crisp.

Love this place!!!!!! My go-to. I really enjoy their Yuba options, like the shawarma and BBQ sandwich. The fried tofu sandwich and impossible burger also get good reviews (although sometimes the tofu sandwich is served with a hot sauce mayo that's too spicy). Highly recommend to everyone. Currently take-out only.
