I’ve been coming here for a little over 10 years always good fresh and clean. If he’s not fresh and clean I’ll never come back. I can safely say this is one of my favorite delis in New Haven today. I had a spinach and mushroom omelette in a wrap, ginger, lemon tea and bananas on the side All under $10 it is a blessing to have this deli J & B Deli here in the heart of New HavenVegetarian options: Green light amazingDietary restrictions: AwesomeKid-friendliness: Grandkids love it

You will get lot of Options for a quick bite. Although, the person serving this place sucks! He won’t accept card until you order beyond $10. He is so arrogant and rude that it could spoil your day. Small portion size and he overcharges. Some of my food ingredients were also stale.I WILL NOT RECOMMEND!

This place actually won't serve food after a certain time. At 6;30 pm they refused to make a sandwich even though they are open until 7.
Nice little deli near Yale campus. Really good sandwiches, especially the bulgogi beef. We stayed at the hotel next door and went here several times for lunch. They have a lot of snack items too.

Overpriced, like everything downtown. The rest is fine

Was in a sandwich mood and had heard good things. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I couldn't get a rueben. I did however, remember hearing someone saying you can make a custom sandwich, which worked well, because I just wanted meat and bread. Roast beef was my next choice with swiss cheese and lettuce. A simple sandwich, nicely wrapped in clingwrap, great to save for the walk back to my building. Will definitely return and hopefully they will have a corned beef for my rueben. Also a plus, you can use Snack Pass here in case you're in a rush.

This family owned-store is my favorite stop for a sandwich or hot plate of food on the run. The corner of Chapel and York streets is convenient to Yale, and features historic New Haven architecture. The store itself is sandwiched between the old Hotel Duncan (beautifully restored as the Graduate New Haven) and the Yale Art and Architecture building. The sandwiches are freshly prepared, and I have really enjoyed the rotating selection of vegetarian sandwiches. There is always a compelling combination of ingredients, and everything is super fresh, prepared that day in the store. I am also a big fan of their selection of beverages, and chocolate. Thank you to the family who run this awesome corner-store!
