My favorite sushi spot in New Haven. Can't go wrong here. Fresh sushi with a nice variety. Special call out on the tuna sandwiches!! Must have!

Went with another couple and sat at table in front window, where it was quiet and provided a view of the entire restaurant. Appetizers and sushi were outstanding. The lava cake was amazing. Service was superb. We used to regulars but hadn't been since the pandemic. One of the finest dining experiences in New Haven!

We wanted sushi in a sea of apizza, and enjoyed an amazing meal! Our sushi rolls were amazing and we enjoyed our tuna tartar appetizer, days later we are talking about how tasty it was. Will 100% visit the next time we are in New Haven.

This place had pretty good tuna tartare-- the fish seemed fresh in the sauces had just the right amount. The ribeye appetizer was a little fatty in some bites, but overall tested good. Their selection of sushi had all the common rolls (California, Philadelphia, Dragon, etc), but nothing unique that separates it apart from other sushi restaurants. I ordered a few of their sushi rolls, and they were just OK. The sushi rice wasn't very flavorful, and the eel slices were more skin than meat. Overall, the food had better appetizers than rolls. The rolls are definitely better than grocery store sushi, but not the best I've ever had... just average. The servers were attentive and the food came out within 15 minutes. This restaurant also has a parking lot two stores away and street parking.

Have been waiting over an hour for two rolls. The place isn’t even that busy. Would suggest going somewhere else.

The best sushi I’ve found in New Haven so far!! They have an amazing menu with a lot of creative roll options, and the vibes are so cute. We got a sushi platter and the black cod (yesss) and the bulldog roll which you defffff should get. Really good quality fish and amazing staff!! Perfect for dinner for a special occasion or before a show :)

Japanese restaurant with creative specialty rolls right by the orange st promenade. My partner ordered the miso soup which was ok but nothing special. The age tofu was fine as well, pretty standard. The rolls were great - we ordered the New Haven Roll and the Sex on the Beach Roll. Both were delicious! The service was prompt and attentive, and the aesthetics were more modern. The meal itself is a bit pricey for what it's worth. I probably wouldn't come back again - there are cheaper sushi options nearby for when you want good sushi on a budget but also higher quality, more expensive/omakase options just a few blocks away if you want to ball out.

Yummy!!! I love this place. I will forever rave about it. The wagyu with the stone was really good and really cool. The red stone roll is my go-to. The miso black cod is really good as well. And the fried cheesecake was surprisingly good too.People always say they love this place and thank me for bringing them here even though im not the one paying

this is the best sushi place new haven and it ain't even close. No where else in New haven I will go to for sushi. June is the best server, Jeff is a cool dude, the guy that greets people at the door is quick swift, and efficient. and the guys in the back that make the sushi?! crazy. oh and the decor is so dope. nice chic hole in the wall can't go wrong.

I live in the area and takeout is very convenient. Also like the coupon specials since I order frequently. Food is very good. BUT last time I tried to order I did not get a coupon so I did not complete the order. Oh well!
