Good cleanliness and variety, although not much in their baked goods section is actually labeled which makes it a bit of a free for all. Everything is typically well stocked, and the cashiers are friendly and patient. Never have had an issue shopping here, albeit a but overpriced.

I love Nicas with my whole heart, I’ve been going here since I was a little kid on my way back from doctors visits at Yale Health, the stuffed spinach breads are about 13 bucks and I buy it a lot and the past 3 times I’ve gotten it, the entire inside was completely raw and totally not safe to eat. I can always try popping it in the oven but it doesn’t cook the same. I didn’t buy the bread to bring it HOME and cook it. I wouldn’t have said anything if it was once or maybe even twice, but 3 times? For it being completely raw is crazy. Hope they can fix this problem because their spinach bread is my favorite childhood item. It’s raw to the point that the dough is stretching and doesn’t even look like it’s been touched by heat.

There's a bunch of great markets in the area, and Nicas is not the cheapest but has always provided the best quality in the 10+ years I've been going. Quality that cost a bit more is something I've always been fine with.

Good selection, seems like it is not supposed to be used as a grocery store though, not very navigable for a solo grocery trip and last cashier would not even lend a hand with my bagging. Gave their beef three different chances and each time it already had small brown spots despite being labeled as packaged same day I cooked. Not sure if they are storing it cold enough or what behind the glass

I stopped there to get my tuna sandwich this morning and the guy was very rude to me I tried to ask him about a whole wheat bread and answering me with unprofessional way. This is not the way how you run a business.Never go there again.

The best in CT. for Italian food. Nica's is run by Joe, a humble and generous man. I can easily eat every meal of the day there. Great meats, sauces, desserts, etc. I work about 150 feet from them, even bartended their family wedding, and it was a pleasure. Great food, better people -DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

They're food is fantastic, always has been! Options are always exciting and interesting, never boring and always delicious. I order catered lunches for my office and have never been disappointed. Delivery is always on time, delivered with a smile and is always neat and correct. They went the extra mile just recently for me, when I made a mistake with listing the day I wanted my order. If they hadn't noticed the error, we would not have had lunch for a very important meeting!! Highly recommend Nica's Market for individual dining AND for catering!
