i’ve never written a review for a restaurant before but i just finished eating dinner here and everything was phenomenal! the service is what really made our experience that good.

What a cute restaurant! It is family owned and you can tell by the how fresh the food is and by how much they care. Everything we had was amazing from the bread to the lasagna and the Quattro Formaggio. We will be coming back again ?

We visited Skappo for my birthday yesterday and our initial walk in the door we were greeted by this lovely woman who cleared a table immediately so we were not waiting long. Then mom (we know from the great introduction) came over to say hello and commented on my necklace. The food was so good and it was like we were at Nonna's house!! We started with the antipasto and the stuffed figs.So glad we chose both because those stuffed figs alone were worth the trip back. For our entrees I got the bolognese and my husband got the ziti with a creamy sausage sauce, both were delicious!!! It is worth the trip and we know we will be making return visits!! Fantastic homemade Italian food in a cozy atmosphere. The pastas are particularly good and they have the best tiramisu I’ve had. The service was a little slow but its family run and the charming atmosphere makes up for that. Maybe my favorite restaurant in New Haven!

I love the mama, I love the food. The vibe was soooo good so warm so cozy. She taught me the way to appreciate myself and being the way I am. Stay nice and outgoing. I was so touched :)

I love this place, the food is amazing, the service is phenomenal, they have great vegetarian options. My only struggle is size of the potion to the price of the entre definitely surprised me. I would reccomend dining here but be prepared to order and app and an entre.

This place is absolutely amazing! It's family owned and operated and so much love and care goes into everything here. It's cozy, classy, and intimate with two long family-style community tables and a few smaller tables. Our server was amazing, knowledgeable and sweet; the other family members we got to meet were just the same! The food is amazing: delicious, filling, satisfying, and authentic, without being too heavy. We got the pomodoroi appetizer, carbonara, spinach gnocchi, and tiramisu, and they were all amazing, especially the gnocchi! We will be coming back and bringing friends :)
