I was hungry. I went inside and ordered a roast beef, egg, and cheese sandwich with a bowl of oatmeal.
The roast beef was so dried out, I was chewing
shoe leather, the cheese and egg and roll were good.
Then came the oatmeal. Pre milked - Gross. Barely any oats - oh they were finely ground with the milk.
I can make a better breakfast by far.
The train station is out back.
If you enjoy blasting train horns, this place is for you. As for the high voltage electric lines over the train, well I don't carry any frequency tester on me.
Last time I'll ever go there
And I left 2 cash tip

Food was fast, fresh and flavorful! The setting was so lovely, I loved the open air deck. Will definitely be back :)

The best part about this place is their hours and ample seating. If you are looking for anything beyond a cup of basic brewed coffee do not go here. It’s okay overall but is absolutely third in line (if not fourth) for where I’m getting my morning brew.

We had generous and delicious sandwiches for lunch, both reasonably priced. Sat on the back patio overlooking the Thames River. Great atmosphere, delicious coffee and food.

Excellent views of the harbor from the back porch. My daughter enjoyed her lemonade, and the muffin was great!

This was my husband and I first time visiting this establishment. I drove by it thousands of times but never stopped in. Today was a good day for breakfast at a different spot and we chose Muddy Waters. What a very nice place. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and Cafe Latte (iced) and a delicious dessert to go. My choice was the peanut butter crunch bar. Everything was delicious and I would return and recommend.

Walking in during the winter, immediately you feel the warmth of the cafe. The beautiful pictures on the wall to the Music Box right in the corner. There was an electric fire place and a patio out back for what I can assume summer gatherings, or just relaxing. It all seems magical. Although There were no greetings from the baristas, it’s excusable just because it’s New England.
The menu is kind of far from the entrance so hesitant customers, don’t be afraid to walk up so you can read the sign.

So much to choose from like Breakfast sandwich’s, pastry’s and a wide assortment of coffee. Everything so far is going well. I didn’t know what to get, although I saw that lemon bar and a pecan tart and had to grab it. I asked the barista there for some help with picking a drink and she seemed like she’s never tried anything on the menu. Straight confusion with what I was asking for and she had to look at the menu to figure out what drinks I wanted. SHE FINALLY CAME TO GIVE ME A RECOMMENDATION, which I went with. The German Chocolate Speciality latte. Sounds good doesn’t it? I took my drink and food to go.

I was sitting in my truck and couldn’t wait to taste the coffee. It was burnt… the lemon bar wasn’t the greatest in texture but it tasted amazing coupled with a bunch of powdered sugar covering my black pants as I drove home. I tried the pecan tart and the crust wasn’t what I expected. It felt soft almost as soft as bakery bread and not at all what I was expecting. I got to the center of the Tart, when all of a sudden a disgusting “RAID” smelling and vodka mix encompassed my taste buds, utterly disgusting! I had to spit it out.

In conclusion, burnt coffee, RAW pastry’s and great ambiance. I would not recommend and I will bring my service to Washington street coffee a couple blocks away.

Smoothie was absolutely terrible. One star for that. I ordered the almond avocado with oat milk which they charged me an extra $1 for and there was no avocado at all. The almond was literal nuts that the blender didn’t puree so it just kept getting stuck in my teeth. My son loved the pastries he got.

Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options but non labeled Vegan. A vegan could eat a bagel and hummus or a hummus sandwich. I do not recommend smoothies.

Dietary restrictions: Very few vegan options like most places. I only tried the dairy free smoothie which I will never order again. Next time I’ll try a bagel with hummus.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible. Stairs.
