Although place seems to be known for their pankcakes,... their omelets us where it's at!!!! Seriously. I had a bacon and cheese omelet and couldn't put ut down. Pancakes and French toast didn't live up to my expectations. Place is big has parking. Family friendly ❤️ ?

My wife and I started going to Chip's, in Orange, regularly (once a week) for the past five or six weeks. Previously we would only go there on occasion. It became our new favorite breakfast location. On April 2nd, I brought my wife there for her birthday breakfast. While the manager/hostess was ringing out a customer, a waitress (Erika - not sure on spelling) came over and sat us in a booth, gave us menus and walked away. We knew what we wanted, so we waited patiently for our waitress to come and take our order. The restaurant was not too busy and we saw Erika standing near the server's station seemingly doing nothing. My wife and I began wondering who our waitress was and how long it would take before our food orders were taken. Surprisingly Erika was our waitress. I wondered why she didn't ask us what we would like to drink when she first sat us down. Anyway, my wife asked for a small orange juice and she emphasized small because their standard size is quite large and we have asked for and received small sizes in the past. My wife then ordered the "The Two Egger", eggs over easy, with an english muffin and fruit. Erika seemed confused and said: "you want eggs over easy and what else?" Then I asked for "The Two Egger" eggs scrambled with pancakes and bacon. Erika again seemed confused, she asked you want scrambled eggs and what? ("The Two Egger" is a menu item and it seemed that when we said "The Two Egger", Erika got confused. We know she is not a new waitress because we have seen her here before.) I also asked for a small water. I emphasized "small" and explained that I did not want a large water because I would not drink it all. (In the past I have been able to get a small water with my order.) When Erika came back to the table she brought a large orange juice to my wife and a large water to me. I said to her, I wanted only a small water and my wife also told her that she wanted only a small orange juice. Erika said, that was the only size they came in. I told her that was not true and before I could explain my self, Erika said, ok, you can take that up with my manager, I'll go get her and she abruptly turned away and went to the manager/hostess, who was ringing out another customer. She said something to the manager then remained by the manager's side. We found Erika's actions to be extremely rude. We had not asked to speak with a manager nor were we looking to make a complaint. I was going to explain to Erika that we had gotten small size drinks in the past and that is why we were so particular in requesting the smaller sizes. Needless to say, we were upset with how rude Erika had been, compounded by the amount of time she made us wait before taking our order and her inability to provide us small drinks as we requested. We got up and left and as we exited we told Erika, that what she did was rude. I returned to the restaurant moments later to ask the manager what our waitress' name was, so if we return there we can avoid having her as our server. We observed Erika working there in the past and noted, when she's standing around at the waitress station she speaks loud enough for customers to hear her conversations and complaints. This was our first time being served by her. Not an enjoyable experience. Maybe not our go to place for breakfast after all.So much for my wife's happy birthday breakfast. ?

Realized why this place reminds me of home. The meats they use are from my hometown. The stuff I grew up with.Okay, we just converted from IHOP to Chip's. Excellent food, tasty coffee, wonderful staff: all 5 stars!

The food came quick and it was delicious. Probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. The music was nice and my kids cracked up at the ads on the TV. Overall it was one of the best diner experiences I’ve had.Vegetarian options: There are many veggie omelets.Kid-friendliness: The service is quick so your kids don’t wait long. There is a good kids menu with kids size pancake, and drinks like pink lemonade and hot chocolate.
Great food and service, nice people. Gets very busy on the weekends because the food is so darn good so bring your patience. They had gluten-free options available.
I have been coming here for over 20 years , attended a fundraiser, and was totally disappointed. Although I had the better food, it was still disappointing.
