Learned about this Haitian restaurant a while back, it’s a gem. Had a dinner party there and it was great. The food and drinks were excellent. Only slight negative was that our assigned attendant didn’t speak much English. My family speaks a similar kreyol so it was ok and the owners were around to assist if needed. I highly recommend the griot and the bread pudding. Nice spot to try top tier Haitian cuisine. The zouk and konpa music selection was also a nice vibe.Parking: This is a short one way street with meter parking but it’s luck and chance to get a spot. There is a parking garage on the next block right behind the restaurant with a 5minute walk back to the restaurant. It was $1 per hour so very reasonable.

Just had the worst customer service experience, person that answered the phone very rude
I am so disappointed in this place. The didn’t have white rice that came with my order. How do you undercooked salmon. I wasn’t going to write a review but I feel like I should because we just spent $150 to go in the trash. The chicken wings were the only decent thing on the menu. 20% service fee is added upfront for a party of 2. This is it for me.

This may sound strange but I must tell you that among everyone behind the counter at the bar, the manager, she is rude and very disrespectful. Our waitress, Evelyn, fortunately was very professional and cordial. Honestly there is a lot to be considered for improvement in that place.

Excellent!!! The food was perfect! I had the snapper and black rice. I travel for work, and have been to restaurants all over the US. This place is a hour and a half from where I am staying, and I must say.... HANDS DOWN, La Perle has some the best Haitian food I have had... Definitely going back again before I leave Connecticut!
Food and drinks were delicious- exactly the type of food my taste buds needed. Staff was friendly and available. Would definitely revisit.

Good food , been plenty times . My favorites are the pastas and the burger. The mango wings and Drinks are good too. Only con is the food takes some time to come out although the restaurant is never busy when I've went . Also the amount of calamari they give for the appetizer is a robbery . The mango sauce that comes with it is so good but they give you like ten pieces of calamari! No exaggeration

As I am unable to provide a food review, I just wanted to warn others that this business rarely operates at the times they have posted. Last time, it was a Friday at 3pm and they were closed. Luckily I was in passing and decided to stop. This time, I drove almost an hour on a Thursday, and arrived at 6pm and they were closed. The sign posted says they are closed M-Wed, and opens at 12pm on Thursday. This is very frustrating as I paid for a parking meter and waited for a group of people who also drove from afar, to join us for dinner, and when they arrived to go inside, the door was locked and the chairs were up on the bar and tables. Nothing posted on their Instagram or website saying they would be closed for the day. So I guess people have to start calling this place before going. Ridiculous.

It would be nice if they gave bread or salad while waiting for the food. The waiting time was excessively long. Service could be way better. Not happy with my visit and won’t returning back.
