Oh my god the steamed cheeseburger is so good. It was my first steamed burger ever, but this will now be my go-to place for lunch when I’m in the area. Owner was a great guy too, really nice and passionate.

This place does it again and again. There's really nothing bad to say even if your not a steamed fan it's undeniable. The soda selection alone is second to none and worth stopping in. There's some type of synergistic magic going on with the burger formula that has to be seen to be believed as it simply can't be explained. Sometimes simple is better and there's no gimmicks here just pure Americana. Open late and great. In this topsy turvy world thank goodness there's still this diamond in the rough.

There is no where like this place. Crazy soda selection and cozy setting. And the burgers/buns are amazing

Slow service.Probably because they take a long time to be steamed. The owners were very friendly. Small place quiet and quaint. The salads were basic. It was expensive in my eyes. I won't be back. It's a once must try anyway

I am from out of town (NC) and wanted to try a steamed burger.I am not a foodie and not huge on beef, but THIS burger was amazing!I originally started out eating it because I didn’t want it to get soggy on my drive back to my hotel near the Hartford Airport. I ended up not being able to stop biting and finished it before leaving. It’s huge. I did the cheeseburger with the works. Definitely recommend!

Fresh and made right in front of you. Felt like a good, old fashioned resturant. Owner was wonderful, and I know I'll be back.
Such a nice spot to catch up with an old friend (this was my first experience here!). Owner was really nice, the burger was delicious, and I will definitely be coming back!

First time here. The burger wasn't bad. I thought the meat could have been seasoned more and way less cheese would have been nice. The ambiance was unique. The woman serving us was nice. Price was a bit heavy. Not too disappointed.

I stopped for lunch and enjoyed a steam hamburger and a birch beer. The hamburger was steamed thoroughly. It was good, but nothing special. They had a great array of different soda flavors, which was fun. The decor was ok and seemed clean

Found out about Connecticut having steamed burgers. They were fully cooked and huge. Didn't seem like the burgers shrunk like other cooking methods. Delicious especially with the cheese.

Only the second place I've been to with steamed cheeseburgers, after the legendary Ted's in Meriden. This may come across as heresy, but I found the actual patty more flavorful here! The double with bacon was a lot of food! The owner is a collector so the place is decorated with memorabilia and he even stocks every brand and variety of soda. His mom was behind the counter when I visited and I loved talking with her. I'll be back next time I'm in central CT!Vegetarian options: There is a steamed cheese sandwich and a steamed veggie burger on the menu.Kid-friendliness: With burgers and soda and all the cool decorations on the walls, a kid would love it in here.Parking: Free lot across the street
