Very small indoor area and larger tent outside.

Wow, what a hidden gem. This was on our way for a road trip, and was super relaxing to stop by around 12:30 on a Saturday. We sat outside under their tent and both had a flight of all of the ciders. The lady hosting was extremely nice, very helpful, which made the experience more fun. There were only a couple of people here, which was very much our vibe when it comes to drinking (less party, more chill). All of the ciders were amazing, I had a tough time choosing a favorite and was super surprised to actually like the hops one as much as I did since I don't like hops or beer. The dry barrel aged (words may be mixed up!) was probably the worst one, but I could see non-sweet fans/wine fans loving it. Definitely something for everyone, and I loved that all of them were just solidly good!

This place is great! We came on a cider tour so we wound up getting a flight. My favorite kinds were the strawberry and purple rain, the purple rain has a hint of ginger which was unique. They were all delicious overall but those 2 really stood out to me. I took home the passion fruit one but have not tried it yet! They have a nice large tent with outdoor seating. They have some snacks as well as pizza. We ended up getting a pepperoni pizza and I was pleasantly surprised. The cheese board also hit the spot! It was very good and definitely what I needed after a couple drinks. I will most definitely be back here and highly recommend you check it out!

All of the cider was amazing! They even have candles scented after their ciders and made inside their cider cans which smell very good! I enjoyed the pizza as well! Would go back any day!

New England Cider Company is a craft cidery that opened in Wallingford, Connecticut in July 2016. It was founded by friends Miguel Galarraga and Seth Hart. Around 2007, Hart (a longtime homebrewer) was in Vermont visiting his brother. The two found some apples from old-growth trees and decided to use them to make hard cider. Inspired by that first batch, Hart quickly began experimenting with more homemade cider varieties. He was later joined by Galarraga; the two worked together as car mechanics at various dealerships. Using their mechanical knowledge, they made their own apple press and started making cider together. By 2013, they officially launched their company and logo and started selling their ciders at various festivals, bars and restaurants. They officially opened their brick and mortar cider house and taproom to the public in 2016. NECCO is Connecticut's first modern cidery. There are older cideries in the state, but their ciders aren't carbonated and are more similar to wine. NECCO's hard ciders are carbonated and are more similar to beer. Since 2020, Galarraga has been the sole owner of the company. I recently stopped at NECCO after going on a long bike ride through Wallingford. It was during the Jewish festival of Passover. I admit that I don't keep kosher year round, but I at least keep kosher for Passover. During the festival, Jews abstain from eating any leavened bread or any foods made from grains. This unfortunately includes beer because one of the key ingredients is malted barley. Cider, wine and mead are perfectly acceptable libations for Jews to enjoy during Passover. I decided to order a taster flight which featured "Fresh Blend" (traditional cider), "Viva La Sidra" (Applewine), "Blueberry", "Strawberry", "Black Currant", and "Passion Fruit". The Black Currant cider was my favorite! The friendly employees Madeline and Phoebe also let me try samples of their Ice Cider and "Pommeau" which were fantastic! Ice Cider is made from the juice of apples that have been completely frozen. I had previously tried some in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, which is an area known for their ice wines and ice ciders. Pommeau is a French style applewine that is aged in oak barrels for 18 months. The staff also let me try samples of some specialty cask ciders that they had leftover from a recent festival: which included "Lavender", "Willy Plum Plum", and "Blueberry Lemon Lavender". These not only tasted great but also smelled fantastic! I ended up leaving with some bottles of the Ice Wine and Pommeau. I had a fantastic experience at NECCO and look forward to returning!

Im a huge cider fan, so I was beyond excited to learn New England Cider Company was only 25 mins away. They have indoor and outdoor seating (theres a tent with a decent amount of space). They offer food, cheese and crackers, and pizza. 6 ciders were on tap, a flight is 16 dollars and you can try all of them. My favorite cider by far was the blueberry flavor. It had a summer time vibe that I really enjoyed. I took home the passionfruit and strawberry ciders. What I enjoyed the most about the drinks was they weren’t too sweet. Nowadays if you get a cider, its either too sweet or too dry but New England Ciders have the perfect balance. Cant wait to go back during the summer months.

Atmosphere of the bar is is 10 out of 10. It’s very cozy, with an extremely outgoing and welcoming staff. There is never a Cider on tap that I don’t love!

I love cider beers!!! They're my preferred choice anytime I'm at a social gathering. I've tried New England Cider' beers a few times, so I was excited their brewery was close by! There aren't many cideries in my neck of the woods in Pennsylvania so I don't have much to compare against. As other reviewers have mentioned, parking can be an issue on the weekend and I was able to snag the last spot on a Sunday afternoon. There is a decent food selection (did not try anything since I already had lunch). There were 6 varieties to choose from and I went with the flight and all 4 of my choices were okay.

I love cider and this is my new favorite spot! New England Cider Company is conveniently located in the industrial section of Wallingford. Parking can get limited during peak hours so just be aware of that. The inside area is rather small but they do have a nice outdoor patio with plenty of benches and tables. You're welcome to bring your own snacks but they do have certain things on the menu like cheese boards and flatbread. The real star though is the cider. It's fresh and SO good. The purple rain is my absolute favorite and really hope it never leaves the menu. I got a flight and everything I tried was great. They will be offering tours soon for $8 along with a free pour. The staff here was super friendly and the bathrooms were clean which is always a plus!

Came by this weekend to check New England cider since my friend and I were nearby. Didn't expect it to by so small ! It must of had like 3 tables and then some seating by the bar area. There was tables outdoors but it was kinda chilly to sit outside. The bartender was very nice, friendly and offered suggestions. She also gave us samples of other flavors to try. My friend and I decided to go with the strawberry cider. Out friend Alex also had recommended that flavor. We actually ended up having a good time! Low key , chill and cider! I enjoyed the cider so I will return.

Delicious, easy drinking hard ciders without the overly sweet apple flavor that some other hard ciders have. All of the ciders on tap were nicely blended and enjoyable to drink. It is nice to be able to have a flight to taste all six hard ciders on tap. My favorites were the Fresh Blend and Blueberry. I question who came up with the Peppermint flavor, but it was interesting. The ciders are available as taster, 13oz pour or 32 and 64 oz growlers. They also have cans to go. The tap room is small but there is also outdoor seating in an unheated tent out front. For those that are not cider fans there is local beer, wine, and cider cocktails available.
