In town on business, I was hungry for some sushi. Found this place on here, and it was less than 10 minutes away, so figured why not? Gyoza (pan fried of course) was really good and fresh tasting. Also had the spicy tuna roll and Tanpopo special roll which were both really good, too. It's a small place, but as I was the only there (6:00 or so on a Wednesday night), that wasn't much of a problem. Definitely a place I would come back to.

I've only gotten takeout from this place, so I can't comment on the dine-in experience, but the takeout is great. I ordered sushi and a meal and both were prepared well and kept well for takeout (sometimes food can get mushy in those containers). The portions were as expected and the food was presented well, too. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the establishment. I ordered food during the height of the pandemic, when a lot of restaurants were sneaky and cutting corners on following mandates. I felt like I was walking into a lab the way everything was walled off, with convenient little slots for me to pay and pick up my food in the foyer. I realize individual politics have played a part in peoples' expectations for cleanliness, but to me, a place that handles your food going above and beyond in being sanitary is a very good attribute. It makes me believe that when there is no pandemic, their standards will remain high as well because they care about their customers.

Food took longer than expected. The quality is not the best. I walked in to pick up and the sushi case is a little suspect. I still gave them a 4 star because they are very nice people.

Best sushi in Wallingford/Meriden area. We are familiar with all the sushi places in Wallingford/Meriden. This is our favorite. It's a small restaurant but the sashimi is melt in your mouth fresh. They clearly take pride in their craft.

This is a small hole in the wall that we've lived close to and hadn't ever really noticed before. Now I'm so mad we didn't find it sooner!! The food was delicious! The staff was so sweet, and very attentive. The miso soup was so good, I ordered more to take home with me!! Very large portions for hibachi. The rolls were really good. Overall just a really great experience! We already can't wait to go back, and plan to order take out regularly! FYI they're a BYOB restaurant which I think is so fun!!

Tgis place gets a 5 star review from me. Yelp never fails me. I have had the best recommendations from this site. I was in the mood for Japanese and Tanpopo showed up. I ordered the Amazing roll based on someone's Yelp suggestion. Delicious!! I also ordered Scallop hibachi and I hope, when I upload my picture, you can see how generous the portions are. Delicious food. Nice people. Support this little restaurant tucked away just off the beaten path.
