Didn't receiving all items and they refused to give a refund of $8 for the tacos I didn't receive.

I called in my order yesterday, so I wouldn’t have to be out in public on U Street for too long (Covid). The guy who took my order took it wrong. I was understanding because he is also taking orders from a window which I know is difficult. I asked to speak to the manager and he was so lackadaisical about the whole thing. I kept highlighting that we are in a pandemic and that I truly did not want to wait in public. Instead of receiving a manager’s comp I was refunded then recharged, as if I took my own order wrong. The owner(s) need to make major changes to who they give the privilege of representing them. I used to go all the time before the pandemic, but after the rudeness and reductive customer experience I will never return. All in all, there are too many local Taquerias that will keep you satisfied and provide good service.

Where do I begin ! The lady at the front door had a funky attitude. The service wasn't any better. Food wasn't bad but we will never be back. The cannot make any accommodation as far as subbing or adding things to your food.

Food was good , some of their dishes were not as clean as they could have been so it was a bit questionable. The only issue I would probably say I had is that the woman whom was at the front could have been more welcoming . Didn't really like her attitude and how she presented the fact that we would have to wait 30-45 min for seating, after calling prior and them stating that we could come right in .

Great food on a great night. The drinks are awesome and the tacos even better, my favorite is the Shrimp taco or the mushroom.

I ate and could not walk for a while. That good.

I love this place, but they're never open anymore. If they're open, I recommend them. Their hours change too much, call before you make the trip.

El Rey is cool.. when you want quick basic tacos and don’t mind being around college kids. I went during quarantine to pick up food and the nachos did not have any beans on it. I wish I took a picture. It looked terrible. The quesadilla was bad too. It was soggy and I’m not sure why. I won’t be going back until quarantine is over and it will STILL be my last option.

El Rey is one of my favorite bars on U st! The margaritas are strong and the nachos are unmatched. The bar attracts young professionals and college students for the most part. It gets pretty crowded on weekends and during happy hour but the service is always great.

Got some takeout during the pandemic. Tacos are delicious- Juicy, flavorful, and filling! The to-go Margs are amazing, definitely recommend the blueberry Marg!! They are also sweet and made this a quick easy experience! Def will be back post pandemic!

During the Covid-19 we visited this spot and it did not disappoint. Please go try the shrimp tacos and the nachos are everything. There isn't much I can say about the frozen margaritas but STRONG AND TASTY!

I love this place for a drink after teaching an evening class at HU. Fun bar staff and great management. Not to mention on U Street this is the spot to watch a international football match. (Soccer to you Americans)

This is one of my favorite spots for a drink - their margaritas are strong, tasty, and never leave me with a hangover. Their nachos (w/ carne asada) are also life changing. Thank you for offering take out during the quarantine, El Rey! :)
