I have always loved going to Emilie's! Their fried chicken sandwich is phenomenal.

This is a hidden gem, don’t miss it! You can taste the love and thoughtfulness in every single dish. Chef level dishes....a few favs are the Brussels-sprouts and the cucumber, tomato, blue cheese salad. You will love anything you order tho so not to worry.

Great food and cocktails at low prices. Desserts and cocktails were a highlight, as were the amazing waffle fries! Brussel sprouts and gazpacho are a must. Sandwiches and chicken tenders were decent but not earth shattering.

I have been to Emilie’s a decent amount of times usually to just grab a latte as it is close to my apartment. Which at the beginning of lockdown was a perfect excuse for a walk but recently I went after there expansion. I ordered an iced almond milk latte. The people behind the counter had no idea what they were doing. I don’t blame them mind you this is management either not having a barista there at all times or not properly training everyone staffed to work the new cafe. They ended up steaming the almond milk and when I repeated again I wanted it iced they used the already partially steamed milk in the latte. The put ice directly on the espresso which shocks the espresso and makes it bitter. Though that couldn’t explain all the flavors that was coming from the espresso it was definitely over extracted. Ceremony’s destroyer blend which I assume it was is a bit temperamental so I understand slight error. I understand the new cafe just opened and they are probably going through growing pains I only hope they don’t loose the quality I had experienced before. The staff was all friendly even though they kept forgetting what I ordered. Also you should eventually have decaf espresso if your going to have an actual cafe not just coffee at your restaurant.

To be completely upfront, we did not eat the food here. We had a reservation to eat outdoors for 3 adults and a baby. We actually had to call twice to make the reservation because we rescheduled. When we showed up, they didn’t have a single high chair. Not that they weren’t available at the moment, they actually don’t have high chairs at the restaurant. If they had told us when we made the reservation, I could have brought our portable one from home, but they said nothing both times we made reservations. We had to go elsewhere. I’m willing to go back and update my review to include info about the actual food/service if the restaurant responds saying they’ve bought some high chairs. The server/host was really apologetic and nice, and the bathrooms were very clean, but I really can’t get past the no high chair thing, and I’ve never been to a restaurant without them.

My friend and I got brunch take out! We were able to call ahead and when we go there had a short wait till we got our food. I got the miso aioli breakfast sandwich which came on a everything bagel. Delish. Perfectly cooked bagel with two eggs and cheese. One of the best BEC sandwiches I've had in awhile. Inside it looked really cute too! Many spirits and wines for sale and premade cocktails to go. They also do dine in for covid with limited seating. My friend got the Avocado toast which she loved as well. Great place. Would def. Come back to try the other menus

YUM! Came here for brunch and was NOT disappointed. Beautiful plates and flavors! The bagel was good I don't eat pork so the chef substituted the bacon with smoked salmon which I appreciated. The avocado toast was delicious! Definitely not your average Avo toast. The yuzu Açaí bowl was the star of the show!! I could eat this every day. I really wanna come back and try their dinner.

My Sunday dinner was delicious, they have a new menu , however it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, the plates used and wine glasses were also amazing , we were served by Victor and he had a lot knowledge on every single dish on the menu .Emily's has Moldovan wines , the bottle of a Moldovan Pinot Grigio was only $12 dollars the wine was excellent, perfect paring it with the green beans dish that we ordered,

Emilie's is one of the special places that are hard to find. It has a great atmosphere, delicious food, wonderful wine, and exemplary service.

I've been to Emilie's a number of times for lunch and once for dinner. It has a great location on the corner of 11th and Penn, near Eastern Market. The dining room area has a laid back flow with an upmarket feel. Now that we are in pandemic mode, I only do pickup and always get the hot chicken sandwich with waffle fries. I am not easily impressed by a chicken sandwich (aka "sando"), but Emilie's earns its stars with perfectly juicy chicken that's crispy on the outside and the bomb on the inside. Also, YUM to the waffle fries. For a dinner we had a while back (I'm sure the seasonal menu has changed now, but I left this review in my drafts), the sweet potato dish was brilliant and the spread for the bread was divine. Admittedly, I found the rum punch to be a bit odd and usually find that non-Caribbean restaurants just don't bring the fire with rum punch. In any case, I think Emilie's is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and will be back.

Ordered takeout and was absolutely blown away. I usually lower my expectations when ordering takeout, but the food I got from Emilies did not disappoint. Everything was well priced and extremely flavorful. Don’t get me started on the cocktails! Every takeout cocktail I’ve had elsewhere was watered down and not great. Emilie’s takeout cocktails were delicious!! If you are looking for a delicious meal, look no further than Emilie’s. It will not disappoint!!

This was the last restaurant I ate at before the COVID pandemic. I remember it all being spot on from the warm house-made focaccia bread with charred eggplant and nori butter dips, to the Champon Noodles and the Vietnamese Blade Steak. I loved that the plates were shareable, which allowed us to try a variety of items. Service was excellent and overall a great dining experience with friends.

I remember a time when we could go out to eat at restaurants, sit inside, with no masks on. What great times! Emilie's was one of the last new restaurants I tried before COVID.We ordered the sourdough bread with the spreads to start. Sadly, I cannot remember what the spreads were but they were great. The sourdough bread was particularly delicious. We also ordered the scallop crudo which was tasty and fresh. For the entree, we ordered the branzino, which was pretty good. As someone with a huge sweet tooth, the dessert was the best part for me. The flourless chocolate/sesame cake was DIVINE. Super rich, so definitely couldn't eat it all by yourself...but you could try. This place is really cool inside and I hope to go back one day and enjoy another dining experience there!

This space is gorgeous! New Chef, Hamilton Johnson, is working on his new menu. I got to taste a few of his carefully curated flavor profiles and I am so excited!! So glad this is my back yard!!!
