I regret not taking photos of our food, but we had a large group. They took very good care of our large group, private room, and the menu was perfect. The food was amazing! We will be back!

Worst meal I've had while in DC. Service horrible. Made reservations for a quiet table and was sat at a booth in the bar. Noisy as all get out. Octopus overcooked. Food tasted like there was nonsalt in the kitchen. Ordered a salad but limited dressing options. Fried chicken bland. King crab linguine- good crab. Breads good as well. Decided against dessert based on the service and how long everything took Would definitely never go back or recommend. Person clearing table was shocked that we didn't take any leftovers when we barely touched the food. 3/4 chicken left and the whole container of cold mashed potatoes. Since server didn't come back, I could never request hot ones. Not a good experience at all.

This is my favorite place for a few things.... In my humble opinion this place beats old ebbitt in every category. Oysters are the best and freshest I've had in DC, that goes for oyster Rockefeller as well. Love them and crave them. Service is always top notch. Really aren't gonna find more consistent and attentive across the board. The food is always great. On this outing for the first time had the flounder which was a special and the fried chicken. Now I have always said the best fried chicken in dc happens to be bantam king, but after having it at Joe's .... I am torn. It was juicy and flavorful and crunchy. So now I'm leaning towards it just depends what kind of fried chicken you want. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Maddie's the bartender extraordinaire in the back room, she is always fast and so friendly. Probably my fav bartender in DC. The only downside to Joe's for me is you probably do want a reservation as it is always jammers and you are risking not getting a table or long wait time otherwise.
food was a great, super chill atmosphere ! Efficient service ! great first experience ??

Very disappointed with my meal. Worst one I have ever had At Joe's. The usual but albeit my steak was dry and seems like it had been sitting in the plate a while and my potato was dry.

My new favorite restaurant! Everything was superb. The service, the food, the ambiance. The stone crabs were incredible. the wedge salad was the best I ever had. The seafood combo items (lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops) were perfectly done and delicious. My son had the NY strip steak, and loved every bite! No room for dessert, but the options would have made it hard to decide. A really perfect meal!

Stone crabs are the best! Amazing service and food.
Outstanding as always. Two small things. For the price they could give you a 12 ounce bottle of diet Coke instead of the small 6 ounce. The following applies to all bars and restaurants that have tvs. We ate in the bar. They of course don't, and shouldn't, have the sound on. But they should have the closed captioning on so we can at least read what the announcers are saying.
